Hey Everyone, I’m back to the Ram Forum information trough hoping for some insight from those of you who have installed aftermarket LED strip footwell lighting in your Rams.

I just bought this plug n play set of LED strip lights. I chose these ones because the control box can be hidden and the remote can still work with it. Some of the other brands there had to be a direct line of sight from the remote to the control box sensor.

My question on the placement of the LED strips. On the passenger side there is a small area where I think the strip will fit right where the glove box ends. I'm concerned though that if I place the strip there that the glove box when open will crush or damage the LED strip.

I’ve also looked at whether the strips for the front footwell would work just as well being mounted on the front underside of the front seats.

Anyone have any insight into mounting locations?

So I installed this kit awhile back but forgot to post some pics. I decided it was easier to mount the LED strips using zip ties than the cheap knock-off 3M tape they supplied.

I mounted the front strips under the front seats and the rear strips at the back end of the front seats. It does the trick. Pretty good deal at $22 bucks Canadian.

I also added a USB fob in the back and front that are powered by a car charger adapter.

You can pick from a variety of colors with this kit and with the USB fobs as well.

Seems to be working consistently with good lighting. I've had them installed since the beginning of July.

They are a good deal for the money IMO.

You chose a model that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Keep in mind that with this scheme, the light`ll turn on automatically when the engine is on. However, this method of connection has a number of disadvantages, because if you need the cigarette lighter, for example, to heat the seats or charge your phone, the original lighting will have to be turned off. It`s more convenient to connect the light directly to the battery, this way is more complicated but you can find tons of info how to connect it. I installed led strip lights in my car. They`re perfect as well if you specifically select a model for synchronization with music.

Ya they are on all the time. I didn't want to start playing with the wiring or anything.

They've been good so far....no issues.
