My 2021 Ram 1500 has an overly sensitive back up sensor where it will slam on the brakes when I back into or out of my driveway. It has mostly been intermittent but it just did it three times while I was backing into my driveway and it’s not even like it’s a steep incline and I’m going very slowly about 1-3 mph.
Anyone else experienced this? It would seem to be either a faulty sensor or software error. I’ve got 16K on the truck and I’m taking in to the dealer as a warranty problem. It slams the brakes on so hard, they smell like I’d been riding them down a long grade. Very annoying.

Welcome to the club. I just turn mine off unless I’m in a tight spot or have a Lamborghini parked behind me.

I have a 2021 Limited and yes, occasionally I get the ‘ghost’ sensor beep…i look around, nothing to be found that would cause it…then move on with life. Luckily i haven’t had the brake engage and it happens rarely enough to not bother me. Wife’s Jeep GC has a similar issue, hers just being ultra sensitive…but once again, doesn’t happen enough for me to bring it in yet.
