Greeting! Is there some people rebuilt the drive shaft U-Joint for this type Ram?
from web search, all is based the rear drive shaft, the front one is one U-joint in small size, the rear drive shaft has two bigger U-Joint in size 1.188"x3.625" (30mmx91mm)
example the site rockauto(2012 Ram 1500 5.7) , but no any search result match the front drive shaft, the small size is around 1.062"(27mm)x3.150"(80mm)
Moog there is a online list here(Moog U-Joint list), but can't find this type size.
I'm afraid buy a new assembly, there is a vibration in some place in 2W mode, but the front drive shaft is only a little stick.
Thanks for share your experience!
Peace!

Find this model is match the size: 5-153X Universal Joint, which size is 1.062" Cap Diameter, 3.219" the caps distance(long, width), it's really close my 27mmx82mm, the question is the lock ring is two type, the original U-Joint is like following:
The Front U-Joint:

The rear one is like other lock ring:

I see you are in Canada, Google (fleetpride) they are nationwide in the states, they rebuild and balance truck drive shafts, and allot of their parts are based out of Canada.

THANK YOUR REPLY, Canadian labor is expensive, found a new assembly is close me, the new one is maybe more cheap than the company's rebuilding
The front drive shaft is designed one time use, difficult to remove the u-joint and also difficult to fix the new one, one pair is no locking ring, directly lock by the metal body deformation, like the first photo

Ive replaced my front U-joint with no issues when I did my Gen 3 front diff swap. Its a simple job. I took the U-joint off and the guy at the parts store matched it for me.

It was like 25$

Do you remember how much the nut torque for the four nuts? I searched some non clear information, use 110 foot to fix it, but it is impossible in my narrow space, I'm afraid this is wrong, because it was not so tight, my release torque should not over 100 foot

OK, I got the answer: 85 foot pounds
