I have 2000 miles on my Ram SO 3500 2022.

I have never seen a message of regen in the cluster. Nor have I seen the
DPF load go above zero.

(My F-250 did regen every 500 mile.)

My question:

Will you get the regen message independent of what display you have active on the cluster,
or will the message about regeneration only be visable if you have the DPF load display active?

My 13 has never indicated a regen. Is this visible on the 5th gens?

Yes but only when it gets full and does a regen. The "normal" regens you won't see on the dash.

OP, your truck is regening every ~24 hours of run time, those just don't get indicated on the display

I have never seen any indication what so ever of a regen in my 2017 in 3 years and over 30k miles.

Thanks John, That explains why so many people including myself thinks that the truck never goes in regen. (On a Ford the regen message comes up independent of what info. Is activated in the cluster) Sitting looking at the DPF load display gets old. There are much more interesting displays to activate. One info that I’m missing is EGT temp. Is there a way to activate that? (EGT would also reveal if regen is taking place)

I agree, that's why I have an Edge CTS3. i monitor 12 items incl the EGT sensors, soot level, regen on or off, EGR position, DEF %, etc

So would that be related to the exhaust particulate sensor being discussed in another thread? Does that sensor control the regen process in some way?

Don't know about the other thread.
That sensor only reads out the temperature, it does not control

I towed about 500 miles and got another regeneration message. What surprised me was that it started regeneration more or less 30 seconds after a cold start? Engine and oil temps under 100 degrees? I would have expected the system to be a little bit smarter and start the regeneration when temps are at normal levels?

So looking thru the instrument cluster the other day, my new Gen5 (2022) truck, I do see a DPF full meter displayed in one of the menus. My Gen4 truck did not have this.
