I have a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel and it just began to tail fish on me. I bought new tires and just got a Carli leveling kit thinking it would solve the problem and it did not. Just got a new set of tires and again did not help.

New OP. takes 10 seconds to write up the problem description and expects guys to spend a half hour trying to figure out what is wrong. If you can't be bothered to take the time to provide a full and comprehensive chronology and description of the problem, then take it to a shop. They get paid to deal with, I hear a tink like noise form somewhere on my vehicle. What kind of vehicle sir? A red one.

I’ll take a look at them. Thanks
What I have is a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel mega cab 3/4 ton truck. Just added a 3 1/4” leveling Carli kit and a set of new tires. At any speed between 20 and 70 as I jerk the steering wheel it tail fish. Feels like it’s trying to crab walk. Where I feel that my rear is almost beside me. It did it before the new tires and kit. Trying to see if anyone has had this problem and what they did to solve it.

So what all did you put on from carli? Alignment specs? And what pressure are you running your tires at?

Started fishtailing after pitting a 3 1/4 inch leveling kit on it. Gosh, darn, I just can't figure out what's the problem.

Unless you really, really know what you're doing, leave the suspention alone. It's a delicate balance and easily messed up.

I really did LOL when I read “What kind of vehicle sir? A red one.”

I watch Judge Judy just to watch what people say when she asks A question like what color is the sky and the plaintiff or defendant starts to explain the formation of the universe.

My guess based on the limited information is a problem with the rear track bar. The kit has a rear track bar relocation bracket, maybe it wasn't installed correctly.

It was busted BEFORE he put the lift kit or tires on. Hard to believe a shop could install a lift kit and did not find the problem. That said there are a ton of things that can be causing this and they aren't all in the rear end. Start at the back and work forward, something is broken, worn out, disconnected or fell off. If you know what you are looking at it shouldn't be too hard to spot.

I went brain dead and could not recall the track bar, but this is also part of the issue.

I would also have someone check the frame/axle area maybe it was in a accident before you got it and the axle isn't sitting right or somethin.

Come tell me that again after you have been on here a while and actually posted some helpful stuff. Check out the work I put in trying to help others. When you see this pattern repeated over and over, somewhere along the line you decide it is time to say something. Look at the number of thumbs up on my comment from other high contributing members.

This has happened to me 3 times, three different trucks. Each time it was cheap ass tires. Inflated to 60+ PSI, they were all over the road... Taken down to 35PSI and all was fine. Returned the tires one time and spent the money, issue disappeared completely.

Not saying this is your issue, but you might be able to test it by drastically altering you PSI (For testing only)

And let me tell you, it took a month to get the tire dealer to take back the tires. Went all the way up to the MFG to make it happen.
