I'll buy it when I need it, ...or not. Why stockpile something that has a short shelf life? LMAO.

Seriously dude

1 year isn't short

and

you can freeze it for a longer life.

Check the internet before you post.

It's already effecting the trucking industry; it's only going to get worse with the current administration too.

Per TSB 25-006-13
Temperature Estimated Useful Life
32°F (0°C) Indefinite
50°F (10 °C) 75 Years
68°F (20 °C) 11 Years
86°F (30°C) 23 Months
95°F (35°C) 10 Months
104°F (40°C) 4 Months
122°F (50°C) 1 Month
140°F (60°C) 1 Week

Kept below 70F not exactly a Short shelf life at 11 years. Even 86F at almost 2 years isn't a short shelf life. Those of in Phoenx probably want to empty our tanks over the summer if possible and put fresh in the tank in the fall.

Stocking up during a shortage ensures a crisis. My opinion. Use what you need. Keep tank full. But stocking up isn’t healthy even in an already manipulated market, respectfully. I need gas, diesel, and def to make a living every day. But so do many many others. So, stockpiling isn’t necessarily a wise move to make.

Might be time to buy some weight loss accessories to keep on the side just in case.

I'm with you. I'll personally keep one spare box around just in case but won't go out and buy a bunch. Buying when you are about 50% allows you to ride shortages without causing them.

Thanks for that info and now I am curious if this will cause issues with the DEF system. I live in Buckeye and will not be driving my truck a lot.

Seriously??!! And what is the latest conspiracy theory that supports this statement?
There is a video of the head of Flying J/Pilot testifying that BNSF railroad had told them to adjust their orders lower by 26%.
The railroads have come out and said they will be transporting less of DEF as well.

There are a couple of MIL codes it could trigger. Don't think it will do any real damage. Personally I just try to keep my DEF tank level at a minimum during the summer to not trigger a life issue. I add as I need for a trip and try to stay within one box of DEF to "Count down to 5 mph" warning.

Which has nothing to do with the current administration but rather, corporate gouging and Wall Street greed.
Oil Companies set to gain huge profits.

I listed to that testimony, from the CEO of Pilot and I cannot recall what the reduction was caused by. The railroad said the volume they transport was going to be reduced, but I do not remember who told the railroad to cut back. It had to be somebody with considerable pull.

Yeah, I'm sure shutting down all production in the US and rallying the end of fossil fuels as "growing pains" to transition out of fossil fuel into electric had nothing to do with it? lol
