Ordered my Ram Feb 11, dealer informed me today it is scheduled for production and should ship last week of April. I asked if that was ship to dealer or leaving plant on a slow train China and he laughed and said if there is a truck driver available it should arrive at the dealer last week of April. We shall see. So far the guy hasn’t lied, he said 8-10 weeks, if it shows up that week it would be 10 weeks.

I ordered early December, this forum gave me all the links to track. Thank you all for that, I don't have your names in front of me. I was able to use the links to track my order. Last update, my dealer was able to track when my truck was loaded on a train for Calif. They were receiving automatic "DAILY" updates and shared with me. Of course, I agreed not to pester them. The truck is now in Calif and waiting for the last leg where they truck it to the dealer.

Checked in with the dealership today, got my VIN, and was told that all the parts have been sequenced and it's getting ready to be built.

On 3/4 I Ordered a Big Horn 1500 Night Edition that will be White. I received a VIN number last week. I’ve checked some of the websites that have been provided but nothing as of yet. I chatted with RamChat and they told me it is in the “Scheduling process” but not sure what that means? I don’t want to be that person who bugs his sales person so I’m on here asking for what to expect but I know everyone has received different answers. Just curious if I should expect it at the end of May or possibly even June? Haha.

You are either in Status D, checking inventory for parts
Or D1, parts are in inventory, scheduling for Frame to be laid on the Assembly Line, that is also called Gateway

What did you order?
classic DS Ram ? 1/2 ton
5th Gen DT Ram? 1/2 ton
Heavy Duty Ram ?

Looks like it will be a nice truck
nothing extra fancy, except the air suspension

It will be built in Sterling Heights, Michigan, which is the newest Assembly Plant for Rams

It is possible that you may be driving it by mid July

VIN lookup finally worked for me 2022 Laramie 1500

10 pages of stuff which is interesting

Options (well we don't get options they're just 1 spec but FCA lists these as options) are Laramie B pack (not sure on difference to A pack?), power running boards, Mopar bed step and a few pages of stuff which i guess are just Laramie addons by default

Ordered my big horn 2500 Feb 22. As of last week it's still in D ststus. Did the Ram Chat. That was a waste of time. Sent a pm to ram cares, no info. Entered my vin in the fca site and returns an invalid page. I guess this is one of those vehicles that can't be tracked.

Not much to track until it's out of D and into D1. And at that point you may as well just check for the build sheet and window sticker on your own, which will indicate once the truck has been built (BS) and then once it has completed the vendor install and has a tentative shipping date (WS). The good news is there's a good chance D status will be the one you are in the longest, once the build starts things tend to move a lot faster. Shipping on the heavy dutys may take longer than the half tons due to the heavy dutys being built in Mexico, but I'm not 100% sure of that as I mostly follow the half ton builds.

After that you're back at the mercy of others to tell you the status of your incoming truck, so if you have a good dealer that is willing to communicate that information to you that will be the best way to get information at that point in time.

How long did your dealer tell you to expect the wait to be? From what I've seen over the past year order times are all over the place without much rhyme or reason, anywhere from under a month from order to delivery, to over a year. Most lately seem to be falling in the 2-5 month range from what I can gather.

I ordered my 2022 BackCountry on April 1st. It'll be my first factory build and am excited. However, what I am really disappointed about is that every article I have read and picture I have seen about the BackCountry has the RamBox option. When I found out that it does not come with the package, I was disheartened. Of all the options to get on a RAM, the RamBox was a must have and almost drove me away. Why promote a product that is geared toward outdoorsmen but omit the most important option? I digress. I've been a Chevy guy all my life but switched to RAM in 2013 and will never go back. Can't wait for the upgrade to arrive.

Ram chat won't tell you the status, just a brief description. You can't use a VIN tracker until the vehicle has been built. You will have to ask your dealer for updates until it's built. Once its in D1, your dealer can tell you the status code and scheduled build date.

And it wasn't an option to order when you placed your order? Did you build it online first or just go into a dealer and do it there? There should have been a few times where it became evident that they were an additional option (for every trim because not everyone wants them) and not included in the back country package.

Just for future reference they often advertise most/all options available for each truck, so they aren't going to publicize many "half optioned" trucks. And why would they? It's about advertising and making as much money as possible, so you've got to show off all the goods to lure people in. Same applies to the upper trim levels, I don't recall ever seeing ram advertisements with say a limited in them, that wasn't fully loaded with every option including the ramboxs. However, once you go to order one you'll find that the one you saw in the add had $15-20,000 in additional options/packages.

Hopefully you still were able to get them, I can't quite tell by the way your post is worded if you were disheartened to find they weren't standard but still ordered them, or didn't find out they weren't standard until it was too late. Either way welcome to the forum and keep us updated when the truck comes in!

Note if you ordered the 6 foot bed, RamBox is not an option in ‘22 at all with long bed. Not sure about other years.

So I was chatting with the Ram Cares and they updated their vehicle tracking. It is actually quite nice and gives you an update on everything. It also gives you an estimated delivery date. I may be late to the game on this link but here it is anyways.
