Hello, new to this forum. So some background:
I just got a new 2020 (New to me) Ram 1500 limited 4x4, w/ramboxes and 5.7 Hemi. I've had many trucks, gas and diesel, F150 through 350, 3500, up to 8 inch lifts and 40 inch tires, trimmed fenders, etc... I'm done with all that. I want a nice riding vehicle now. I've been considering putting 305/45/20's on the truck with a 20x10 -18/-24 wheel.

I've been doing quite a bit of research, and based on what I've found, leveling links plus the Daystar is supposed to be the way to go. My new truck has stock 22/9 wheels with 285/45 on it. If I could get new wheels, say 22/10's with -18 to -44, would I be able to fit 295/50's on it without rubbing/leveling? I'd like 305/45's but I'm thinking I do not need to go all they way to a 305/45 to get the stance I'm looking for. It seems like 305's would require a leveling kit. Do I have that correct? Any thoughts.

Nobody touched this so I will. First thing I recommend is to ditch the air suspension and go coil. Doing so opens up your options and avoids air ride failure that will happen. It’s not if it’s when. Being Arizona you’ll last longer than folks in the salt belt like me.

That being said, leveling links trick your ride height sensors into thinking you’re at a lower height allowing the bags to fill up more. The down side is (ride comfort, if you run a larger tire, you can’t lower any so you’ll be at a fixed height like a coil spring suspension) im not fully against leveling links. They will do what they are advertised for

I've read that adding the Daystar spacer on top of the strut/air shock takes it back to stock ride comfort, and resolves the trickery. Is that not true. Seems to be the resolution to the geometry issue that "links only" create.

Yes, that is my understanding as well (using the daystar spacers with the links).

The links dont really cause a “geometry issue” persay, they just make it so the bags are more aired up at normal ride height, which makes the ride a bit more harsh (apparently). Using the links in conjunction with the spacers should get the ride height back to stock within reason. If i had to have the air suspension, and i wanted the truck leveled/lifted slightly, i would do the links and the spacers.

That's my thought as well. I jut got the truck, so I'll ride for a bit to see what I think.

Thanks
