I've searched but not seen any info, is there a way to have my power folding mirrors automatically fold in when placed in park. Thanks

I have power fold mirrors on my 2014 R/T and they fold anytime, including when the truck is off and I am standing outside.

I believe he's asking for them to automatically fold, that way it doesn't require pushing the button.

I'll have to look on my 16 Limited when I get home, I don't remember seeing that as an option in the settings. I know it had auto tilt in reverse. But not sure about auto fold.

The only way to do it is with a "Tazer", a rather expensive ($250US) gadget that you have to leave connected to the OBD2 port. https://www.zautomotive.com/product/tazer-ram/

Tazer appears to have the links f-d at the moment. The link in your post is to the bypass, and the link to the bypass is for the dongle...

I wonder if there is a way to do this with out having to leave a darn dongle in at all times, as Alfa can do the windows down from fob option as a programmed option...

I don't believe so. The reason being that Alpha can only alter functions that are built into the modules (door modules in this case). There is no such function in the door modules on a 4th Gen truck (unsure about 5th Gen) so Alpha can't do it and Tazer has to be attached to be able do it.

Didn't mean to imply that ALFA could do it, but as a programmer, I was wondering if there was some other way to do more.

Well, from a technical standpoint, I'd say yes, it could be done. I've had some ideas on the subject using one of the small boards with an ATSAME51 and CAN transceiver on board. If you could figure out the RAM CAN code for "Engine Off" and "Engine On" and monitor for them, you could send the door modules a fold or unfold command as needed. It would still need to be connected into the CAN Bus somewhere though of course.

The Tazer DT (used for 5th Gen) does not plug into the OBD port like the older models did. I have the Tazer and use many of the features, but really it's just a matter of looking at the laundry list of options and seeing which ones would work well for your needs.

Don't think I'd want automatic folding mirrors when in park, but the Nissan rental car I have at the moment (I'm traveling for work) has automatic folding mirrors when I hit the lock button on the fob. I like that feature.
