Wait. Are those the same size tires in each pic, or is the thuren suspension with 35’s and the stock suspension with the 285’s?

what does yours measure now center of hubs to the bottom of flare? measuring that way takes tire height out of the equation.
I’m 26.5 from center of hub to bottom of flare now, not sure what the pre measurement was

Same size tires in each. Pic w/ tires in the bed is pre Thuren right after I had 35’s put on. Pic w/out tires in the bed is w/ the same 35’s and Thuren shocks/coils on front and back

No. The front is definitely lower now. Pretty sure his .5” and 1.5” pw spring measurements came from the pre ‘19 models, which were not quite as high in the front.

Odd to see it actually got a smidge lower though.
Interesting, I didn’t know that. Really small thing and still very happy w/ the setup but I assumed the 1/2” would have raised it a 1/2” lol. If I’d known it would be a little lower I prob would have gone with the 1 1/2”.

Not a mechanic by any stretch but there’s a lot that can be adjusted down there; I assume none of that would really impact ride height though. Very small thing at the end of the day either way

Yes, the ‘19 and up models got a little taller up front. Not much though. I figured he should probably be calling the springs “stock height” or 1”. Surprised to see yours seems to have turned out actually a smidge lower though (at least by that pic).

No there really isnt much “adjustment” to make the ride height change. However, i guess a really poor alignment job could make one side of the truck sag considerably…which i assume is not your case.

I’m curious on measurements too if anyone happened to take them, should have measured before I had mine done. I did the Fox shocks and 1/2” on the front (and coil/shock on the back) and I swear the front is a little lower now (pre Thuren is the pic with tires in it). Probably just the lighting/in my head. Otherwise ride is great and I’m very happy with it.

Edit - may just be the weight of the five tires in the back pushing it down that makes the front end look higher

I’m pretty sure you’re spot on. I didn’t do measurements either and literally was just looking at all this on my truck here at the campground. I was like “hey I’m gonna jump on the forum and see if anyone thinks the same” and bam y’all are already talking about. Definitely feel like it’s shorter in the front now.

The only reason I didn’t go with the 1 1/2” is because I didn’t want the sag in the back to be more exaggerated when loaded.

I didn’t take any pics but surprisingly the camping gear didn’t cause a ton of squat. Before I loaded the bikes on the hitch, I was still an inch higher in the rear. Once I loaded up all the bikes, it brought the truck completely level.

The 3 1/2 hour ride to Gatlinburg went well. Of course there’s a significant difference from stock suspension and being weighted down but overall, it handled really well. I wonder if front n rear track bars would tighten it up even more.

Since we’ve been here and unloaded, I’ve taken the truck down a couple trails, nothing 4x4 related, but off the main road where I could experiment with speed and ruts. The truck drives extremely well. Huge difference from stock.

Currently searching for some off road trails where I can engage 4x4, maybe the lockers as well, and test it more. Any suggestions?

mine also got lower. Thuren is trying to figure out what’s going on.

My reckoning is that they reduced the front end weight with synthetic winch line which resulted in a 0.4" front height increase. That's what slightly higher is.

Ive read that stuff before…i just dont buy removing steel cable for synthetic line lightened it up so much that the front of the truck raised…i mean how much weight is that?…20? 30 pounds? I feel like I can stand on my front bumper (160 pounds) and the height dosnt hardly change at all.

Did they change the rear height in the ram 2500 as they did the 3500s in the 5th gens? The 5th gen 3500s sit 2in lower than 4 gens

Thuren is confused. They said they're looking into it so we'll see what happens.

23lbs difference. No way changes the height.

Curious if anyone measured the OEM coils free length compared to the Thuren's 1/2" coils free length? Ie the length of the coils removed from the truck, how did they compare and same with shocks?

stock coil length was around 21 inches. Chris at Thuren asked me for the measurements. I know its shorter than the OEM coil as it's way easier to get the Thuren ones in. My coils are the ones I took out of the 18 so I'm assuming they aren't in the same batch as these new ones people are getting. It's almost to the point where I'd like the 1.5's. But at the same time I'm sure they are supposed to be a be shorter. it's the characteristics/spring rate that lifts the truck. They stand way straighter than the OEM ones.

correct on spring rate being responsible for lift, but it kills the argument that OEM coils will drop out when fully articulated..

oh yeah. You have to drop the differential to the floor to get them out.
