Looking to put a new exhaust on my 19 ram classic.
I don't want my neighbour's or wife hating me when my truck warms up in the morning.
I like the borla touring cutback. I also like a gibsons cat back. Gibson is 1000$ less. Anyone have input on the differences between these 2? Or anyone have either of these exhausts on their rams?

There are numerous options out there for the Classic if you just want a muffler swap, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Solo Performance just to name a few. It really all depends on what tone you are looking for. The 4th gen system is so much easier to upgrade compared to the new 5th gen. I would do some research on YT for sound clips to get an idea.

Would doing a muffler swap apposed to the whole cat back give the same performance? Definitely not wanting my truck loud af. Prefer a nice sound and reaping more performance

do it for the sound! the hemi is a naturally amazing sounding motor, just about any muffler other than the stock will sound great!

definitely do a muffler swap and save your money on the expensive kits!
once you change your muffler go drive through a tunnel and you will be all smiles :favorites13:

I have a direct fit Magnaflow and I'm sure I wake my neigthbours up in the morning.

The cold start is quite loud and then tones down after 20 seconds of warming up.

Hey it's your money but you could just change the muffler and have fantastic sound and keep 500 bucks in your pocket!

You won't see any performance gains from a cat-back, just do a muffler swap & save your money

like already said the Magnaflow is a nice choice .............
Thanks everyone. Very helpful. Did more research and ended up ordering the magnaflow direct fit muffler last night. Can't wait!!

K&N is another option for a muffler that sounds good, but won't annoy your neighbors.

I have a 2019 Ram Classic and went with the Magnaflow cat back exhaust P/N 16869. I did not want a loud exhaust just something with a little bit of voice to it. Going down the highway I can still hear the tunes and have a conversation . I also had to buy the rear bumper with the cut outs for the tailpipes. Also installed Kooks shortie headers that bolt right up to the Y pipe. Headers made it sound just a little deeper.

On my first Ram I put on Magnaflow ( too much drone in cab). On my next Ram I used Borla ( loved them). Now I have a 2018 with Corsa, and they are just as good as the Borlas. Quieter than stock inside the cab and music on the backend. Had all three combined with JBA headers.

I was told that if you change to a cold air intake and a free flow exhaust you have to buy a tuner to reprogram your truck to get the most benefit.
What is the best programer to get

How is Highway noise in the cab? Could you have a conversation at 70 mile an hour with people in the backseat without having to really talk loud? Because I am traveling a lot.

It's fine! I cruise all the time without any drone. I noticed that it does drone between these speeds for me (give or take) 90 km/h - 56mph to 100km/h - 62mph. Who goes those speeds right? :D It's never constant droning. Convos no issues at all.
