I am pretty sure they are the microphones for the bluetooth phone system. Sound goes into those, not comes out...
Yeah I was sure, because I wasn't hearing anything. And I didn't see it in the manual (may have overlooked it. )

They are active noise cancellation (ANC) devices. They mention them in the manual.

Not mine. I mean it's not crazy noisey, but it is still noisey
may they are disabled or module is fried. how old is your truck? lots of variables. you should try disabling the module and see what difference there is. IF no difference maybe it is fubared. rolling down the window disables it but of course at speed not going to really tell you anything with the all the air noise.

They are microphones. The ANC is part of the overall system on 2019 and newer vehicles.

I work for a company that has several call centers. In those call centers we have "white noise" generators, which seemingly create a continuous noise that reacts in your ear to drown out the natural noises coming from 1K people talking on phones at the same time. It's effective, but has down sides, and is similar to the system in our trucks. If you have ever taken your truck for a long ride with the windows up(system shuts off when windows are down), you'll notice a higher level of fatigue and maybe some buzziness in your ears. If you install upgraded speakers in your sound system, you may experience a droning noise in your system in addition to reduced performance in those very expensive speakers. I'm not a fan of the system so I disabled it with no ill effects to the truck, other than what appears to be more observed mechanical noise while driving...Kinda sounds like a truck :favorites13:
