It's fine! I cruise all the time without any drone. I noticed that it does drone between these speeds for me (give or take) 90 km/h - 56mph to 100km/h - 62mph. Who goes those speeds right? :D It's never constant droning. Convos no issues at all.
Check out my new feed about hood scoop ram air if you don't have one already

Friend has Borla. Its a nice rumble, but with any amount of throttle you here it i.e. RPMS over 2000-2500. So if you not want much loader than stock, I'd not go to Borla.

I went with a Magnaflow cat back on my 5.7l Rebel and there is no drone unless you are accelerating hard. It has got louder since I have put 10000 miles on it from new.

I have had Borla on a viper and was very pleased with them. Quality, sound and fit were all 10s IMO. But, that was a viper. Being a person who buys a vehicle that is at least 4 years old so i can get it at HALF of what it cost new, i recommend you leave it completely stock unless this is the truck you want to keep until it rots out in your front yard 20 years from now. The vehicles that sell first and for the highest price are the well maintained, well cared for and completely STOCK. Why? An exhaust system, cold air intake or other bolt on are sure signs the vehicle had the tar beat out of it by an immature driver. I wont touch them with a 10 foot pole.

So unless this is THE truck for you, drive it, enjoy it, keep it in good condition and make your fluid changes on schedule and LEAVE IT ALONE if you want a good price when it is time to upgrade again in about 4 years, the average someone keeps a vehicle. Every penny you dump into it in "aftermarket upgrades" is a penny you will have to pay out again when it is time to sell. It is like saying, "hey, i want to spend *** bucks to make my car worth less because i want to be different.......just like EVERYONE else. Just my opinion.

I have been running the Gibson Super Truck Performance SS cat back system on my 07' quad cab 1500, RWD, Performance tuned 5.7L HEMI for 7 years now. Love the sound which is throaty at idle, somewhat louder with hard acceleration. I love it on my truck.

while I do agree that a vehicle for sale with mods is a loss of potential money for the owner but you would have to be pretty stupid/lazy to do such a thing!
every bolt on mod can be made stock again. I always keep my original pieces and reinstall them before sale. I sold just about every aftermarket piece I installed on my old 06, im still kicking myself though for forgetting about the pioneer 6x9s in the front doors. too bad for me!

maybe im just a good salesman but ram pieces go like hotcakes around here. I sold my original rear shocks (21 warlock) 2 weeks ago 1 day after putting the ad online for 100$ and the guy drove 40 minutes to come get them. guess they were too cheap lol

Check out Carven if you haven’t already bought. Fit and finish are impeccable and the sound is amazing. I have the Competition series, they also have a Progressive series which isn’t quite as loud. They also have killer 5” stainless tips.

Just picked up a black widow 10" widowmaker muffler. Basically going to replace the carven muffler in my setup (carven progressive) with the black widow muffler. Similar shape and size, just no packing. The last black widow exhaust I ran, had absolutely zero drone. Hoping for a similar outcome with this.

Different muffler (venom 250, similar in size to a Flowmaster 40) on a tundra with a 5.7. Cold Start, I'd say 5/6 out of 10. Warm idle was just a touch louder than stock. Zero drone on the highway. But, it would absolutely roar once you got on it. This muffler should be a good bit louder at Start up and idle, hoping for a 7/8 out of 10. But it'll really wake up when on the throttle.
Here's my tundra with some revs and cruising.

2012 Ram outdoorsman I bought had stock exhaust and resonator. A month ago replaced the muffler with a Flowmaster Flow FX(also removed stock resonator) and well while it was an upgrade to the stock no sound from factory it was IMO barely an upgrade. Had some but not bad drone cruising highway. Was not happy with so took out muffler replaced with Dynomax race bullet and WOW that is exactly what the hemi should sound like. Cold start I say 9/10 and may p** some grumpy neighbors off but oh well. I am so glad I did it, it really woke the truck up. Also better flow can seriously tell difference. Also what's crazy is near no drone when cruising(less drone than the Flow FX) and when you get on the pedal holy smokes all eyes on you. Awesome sound without the rasp/popping and has a great low growl tone, exactly what the hemi should sound like IMO.

I have 2015 2500 6.4L. These Ram's don't have efficient exhaust flow my exam on the system was disturbing, there is 3.5 inch pipes from exhaust manifold's to the cat's then out of the cat's to 3 inch for a couple of inch's that is where the exhaust system stops. Ram takes the 2, 3 inch pipes and collapses down to one 3 inch pipe most of the pipes I have seen there was a very low exhaust flow.
I took my truck to a muffler shop and had 3.5 inch magniflow from cat out to the rear of my Ram with Magniflow mufflers. Cost for complete exhaust system $700.00 out the door, I increased 6 to 8 mpg, sound is like have-in the 60's and 70's, I would bet the towing and haul has increased/

I have a Totalflow muffler, part #415633 sounds awesome and is exactly what I wanted. Conversation can be had at highway speeds.

Looking to put a new exhaust on my 19 ram classic.
I don't want my neighbour's or wife hating me when my truck warms up in the morning.
I like the borla touring cutback. I also like a gibsons cat back. Gibson is 1000$ less. Anyone have input on the differences between these 2? Or anyone have either of these exhausts on their rams?
I have the Gibson Super Truck cat-back and headers on mine.
Love the way it sounds and solid quality stainless too.

Ouff that thing looks mean and clean!! I bet it sounds great. Long tube headers are on my list of to do's. So you like your gibson set up?
Yes I do! It's loud, but not obnoxiously loud and doesn't sound junky.
The Gibson short tubes HoHum somewhat?
Go with long tubes and not the shorts.
It's worth the investment.

That's what I'm looking into. The long tubes. Does anything else have to be replaced or upgraded to host the long tube headers do you know? Stock cat is still in. Will only be doing a muffler swap for now. But headers within a year. It's tough here in Canada with options. Looking like I could get kooks pretty easy. I like the gibson ones though but finding a place to order them right now is hard

You will need a tune if running LT's. If not most likely will get a code and will not get the full benefit of LT's.
