For what it is worth, i have theory about delivery times.

Say person #1 orders a 2022 Ram in February & they have waited until June 1. Then they get upset with the wait time, so they tell the dealer to cancel their order.

Meanwhile person #2 goes to that same dealer in June & places a very similar order & get a few suggestions from the salesman.

Person #1 cancelled order is still in transit
That Order comes in & its late July

The dealer tells person #2 that their order has arrived, actually the Ram that came in was the order placed in February

I would almost bet that they have several order cancellations a month & every one of them is sold before Vehicle Prep has released it

Everything is in such a mess these days it's became impossible to plan anything. I'm here now because Ford couldn't supervise a corner kool aid stand. I ordered a big Bronco on 03/03/21, and haven't heard squat. Sadly much of Ford's problems come from the decisions they've made. From trolling a few Stellantis/FCA forum it's seems that they were in a better position to weather this storm, and are a bit better on delivery times. My salesman said my truck could take 12-13 weeks to arrive. I know a salesperson will tell you anything to make you happy, but that's close to what I've been seeing with the Wranglers (I'm on a Wrangler forum). Either way I'm hoping it won't go 16 months without a word like the Bronco.

BTW, others reasons I've canceled my reservation (made on 10/03/20) for the Bronco is the reported problems they are havng, and the atrocious gas mileage being reported. I know an off road vehicle isn't a gas sipper, but from what I'm seeing they aren't even close to the company estimates. My 3.6L Wrangler (w/285's) will do 22 mpgs (on a nice day) on the highway at around 70. If the 5.7L will get close to 20 it will be better than many have reported on the Bronco forum. And, the Ram is a much nicer vehicle.

Well boys and girls, the dealer was straight up, and I made the order. Now the long wait begins. :)

So, here's the deets.......

Laramie 2wd w/5.7L 3:21 gears (no 3:21 shaming, I'm a very sensitive person) lol
Flame Red
Sports Package
Advanced Safety Group (that surround view camera system is the bee's knees)
Level 2 Equipment Group (I loves me a good sound system) along with the nannies that will help when I have than monster in the dang little parking spaces in my town.
Rear Wheel Well liners
Floor mats
I don't know how you guys are affording to purchase a truck right now. Since I ordered my 3500 on 1/31/22 the truck has gone up over 8k from when I started. It went up over $1,500 before I pulled the trigger. I kept waiting for a new transmission to come out for the HD's but when it went up that first time, I thought I better get one ordered & I am glad I did. In total this exact truck has gone up nearly 10k in less than 6 months!!! Hopefully my dealer doesn't think he is going to raise the price on the deal we made! He told me the only thing he doesn't have control of is what the interest rate will be for my truck. It has also gone up twice since I ordered & sounds like the Feds are going to raise it again this week.

Well brother, I'm retired and don't plan on leaving any of my money to anyone other than the wife. And, shes set up nicely. The only thing I need to do is make sure I don't make her angry. Her famous words are "Boy, you've gotta sleep sometime". :)

BTW, my 1500 jumped nearly 3K before I could get my mind in the right place to order. My salesguy said the price is locked in now. I certainly hope that answer doesn't fall under the catagory "My dedaler said". That's about as reliable as a screen door on a submarine.

I moved to “scheduled” status on 6/17 per the tracking site. No other info provided. Ordered 5/13.

Well, seems the airlines have perfected over-booking too, and yet the sheep keep coming to them as well. Kinda powerless when facing duopoly businesses these days.

Or, as Mel Brooks said in History of the World - "It's GOOD to be the king!"

I got my VIN number Monday. That was the fastest I have ever got a VIN on a special order vehicle, but I've never order a Stellantis/FCA vehicle before. I just hope Ram isn't like that little red headed girl I tried to date in high school. Tease, string me along, tease some more, then drop me like a hot 'tater.....................:)

Well mine finally says it has been built! :happy107: Now the long wait for it to actually be delivered. Been hearing that has been averaging 4-6 weeks.

Sad part is your all at the mercy of the railroad as they Are short handed and refuse to hire back those who they laid off as they would not work for the low wages they want to pay compared to what they made prior to the Wuhan Virus...

Here's my ridiculous ongoing experience with shipping. Ordered a 2500 crew cab 4X4 w/ the 6.4 Hemi back on February 9th. Its was built April 13th and shipped April 29th. The due date to the dealer has been pushed back at least 6 times. Yesterday it was 7/5, this morning it got pushed back to 7/13. My salesman checks every week, says the system is showing it's still on a train sitting in a yard somewhere. He said they have 7 customer ordered trucks on it, and 6 stock vehicles as well. With no idea when they'll show up.

To make things worse, my buddy ordered a Jeep Gladiator a month ago, and it just showed up at the dealer this morning, 2 weeks earlier than the due date in the system. Granted, we live like 5 miles from where they're built, but still....

To say that I'm frustrated is an understatement.

I heard on the news the other day that the Railroad Companies want the returning lay-offs to accept a lower pay scale. I know why they aren't returning to work now. The Railraod big guys have their heads up their posteriors.

Good luck, I hope the back logs break, and your new baby is in your driveway soon. My 1500 is scheduled, but without a build date. I don't have any hopes that it won't get caught up in the same shipping delays you are going through.

Thanks, I appreciate it. If it's not here by the 2nd week of August I'll have to cancel a camping trip. My 1500 will tow my camper, but it's not comfortable at all. If the new rig comes in on it's current scheduled date (which I doubt) we'll be on vacation in the Outer Banks. We shall see....

Good luck with yours, sounds like the 1500's stand a better chance of arriving quicker.

Is the 2022 listed in yer Avatar an incoming product? All of the above plus prices is why MY 19 stays put in the driveway collecting dust, hee hee. Not need that type of agony. Besides, all prices here are 15-30% over MSRP, not me said the Blind Man.

Yes sir, it's just scheduled with no definite build date right now. And I don't blame you for keeping your '19. Stellantis is very adept at raising prices in the blink of an eye. I dawdled to long, and the price of the '22 jumped over a thousand bucks before I could order. But luckily my local dealer didn't want to have his way with me, and gave me a great deal.

Good for you. Drive it, maintain and enjoy upon arrival. Biggest clue on these puppies is proper MX, not necessary the longer times dictated in manual, and really good oil, filters and such. Just IMHO..... U get E-torque or straight 5.7?

Yeah, it's a Heavy Duty.

Affirmative on those sites as well. I've had the build sheet since the end of April. They pretty much jive with the delivery dates that my salesman has been seeing in their system. Last "event date" listed in their system was May 11th, where it arrived in a rail yard in Missouri. He thinks it's still there.
