I own my dream vehicle. Bought it July 2020 right off the delivery truck. Everything had been perfect until Thanksgiving 2021. The check engine light came on and over the course of 6 months nothing was fixed. It died on the freeway. It then spent 9 weeks at the dealer waiting for fuel rails and a starter. Got it back and 2 1/2 weeks later, it's back in the shop with oil pressure issues. Except this time it's stuck at my mom's dealership in Palm Desert, CA. They've now had it 2 weeks.
Good grief. Dream to nightmare! I wish they'd just replace it. I paid it off knowing I couldn't afford payments due to getting my daughter a car. Also bought every warranty possible when I bought it. Thank goodness. Yes the dealers have provided loaners but this last 1 wouldn't let me cross state lines so I had to leave it with my mom and take her car. Now her car is wracking up miles. In 4 yrs she had put 21000 on her car. In 2 weeks I've added 2500. Why won't they just admit it's bad and put me in a new 1 or give me a check to get another.
Ugh.

Welcome, good thing U got warranties, and I am not gonna state the obvious. You may get lucky and get a dealer to buy back and get another, not unheard of but very rare. Usually the only course of action is either try to elevate problem to FCA and or a Legal Remedy. Unfortunately, it's gonna be a process. If you think any brand is just gonna go and admit like you want, welllllllllll, good luck on that,. But maybe in the end all shake out. MAKE sure you keep all COPIES of RECEIPTS and all CORRESPONDENCE. DO nothing on a say so, get it in WRITING.

Thank you. The dealer it's stuck at now has given me the FCA documents. Filed them yesterday. This dealer has admitted its a lemon and is helping the best they can within corporate limitations. Hopefully FCA can help.
