I just had my 4.5 inch Maxtrac lift kit put on my ‘17 1500 2wd. It currently has a little bit of the “Squat” and I was wondering if the front end will go down some when it settles. If so, how much will it go down and how long does it take to settle?

I had added the 1 1/2 spacer in addition as I wanted to maintain somewhat of a rake still. Worked out great :waytogo:

I also waited a few weeks to see if and how settling might occur, but ultimately added the 1 1/2” to the rear.

Just another option for you

Yes, it will settle. Seems 1/2”- 1” isn’t uncommon.

What did you do for the rear though?
Mine settled almost an inch in the front but I had Maxtrac warranty the front springs out just recently, haven't had time to replace them with the new ones they sent me but yes unfortunately there will be settling on any lift kit especially in the front since the weight of the engine is much heavier there...

YEEP ... I added the 1.5 spacer in the rear as well, I am toying with the idea of adding a 1" spacer in the front to level it out even more ....

I also have bilstein shocks inside the front springs. Will the front still lower when it settles or does the shock affect that?
