Took it on a road trip this weekend to see some old friends. Love the truck more every time I drive it.

I just closed my company after more than 38 years.

Yep you know then.. I know a lot of guys closed down after dealing with covid headaches. I am the complete opposite I bought out a come 1 month before lock downs :emotions122:

Actually after the first couple months of Covid business then went through the roof. I raised my rates the same time real estate market started it's big climb.
I then sold out my real estate and moved out of state.
I started my business (remodeling) when I was 25. After 38 years it was time to let off the gas pedal.

Yeah we were pretty busy last couple years. I took over a architectural sheet metal company. It's been headache with delays, back orders and material price increases every month but overall pretty good work. It's slowing down a little now.

Just hit 6500 miles after a 1600 mile round trip yesterday. I guess these diesel prices are the new norm, kinda mind blowing when you are paying 6 dollars a gallon. Unbelievable.

First drive of any consequence in at least a month. Hauled the bass boat 900 miles north for a month or more of bass fishing. Mostly interstate, hand calculated at 14.1mpg, which I'm good with. My old 3/4ton gasser GMC would have done 9mpg, so I saved quite a bit at the pump overall, and less stops.
