I think we should get back on the topic of what this thread is about, Synthetic Oil.

There's a good idea (I do like the engine conv, but that can be a different thread).I think we should get back on the topic of what this thread is about, Synthetic Oil.
Makes sense. So the 302 in the Z28's was a mouse motor? I did not know that.Basically it was a 396 big block,or as you call it a "rat motor" with a 0.032" overbore. Smallblocks were called "mouse motors",big blocks from 396 to 454 were commonly known as rat motors ,the 426 hemi was known as the "elephant motor" ,but not many guys still use those names to describe the engines anymore, lol
Yup,lol.Makes sense. So the 302 in the Z28's was a mouse motor? I did not know that.
More like a mouse on 'roids, lol.Yup,lol.
I think if you go back through this thread,it's wandered off course a few times, but whatever you want i guess we'll have to go along with,as your the boss, lol. There's a good idea (I do like the engine conv, but that can be a different thread).
We have to remember the time frame and what was going. Conservation groups were becoming vocal and gained traction politically. The demand for lowered emissions brought in the cat converters. They weren’t high flow. Lol. Newer cars were designed to run on unleaded gas. The gas shortage raised the price of gas. Not sure if the govt was putting pressure on mfg to increase mpg at this point. All of this pretty much ended the muscle car era of this time frame.Yup,lol.
Absolutely true, without checking, we’ve talked about oil, filters, fuel system cleaners , welding, wood stoves, air filters, additives, chainsaws, and that’s just off the top of my head. I know there is more. First time some one complained.I think if you go back through this thread,it's wandered off course a few times, but whatever you want i guess we'll have to go along with,as your the boss, lol.
I didn't see you saying much when Mike brought in the Li'L Red Expresses 3 or 4 pages back, which is when you should of said something
Even the vette of that era were neutered. The engineering wasn’t there yet in the advent of pollution control.Yup,lol.
Yes, you're correct in that I missed those posts as did the rest of the team. There's a lot to read every day, sometimes things get missed. Yes this thread goes off track every now and again, and yes it comes back, you guys are pretty good about that. If it stayed off track, we'd act accordingly.I think if you go back through this thread,it's wandered off course a few times, but whatever you want i guess we'll have to go along with,as your the boss, lol.

Well, first time someone's complained to us about that. LOL. It's all good, not particularly concerened about this thread save for the occasional troll and whatnot.Absolutely true, without checking, we’ve talked about oil, filters, fuel system cleaners , welding, wood stoves, air filters, additives, chainsaws, and that’s just off the top of my head. 4512 pages on synthetic oil,yea i'd say it's wandered well off course several times, and for several pages at those times. Let me guess if we'd been discussing small and big block Mopars, there wouldn't of been a word said. I don't mind an admin stepping in,but i think you've overstepped your boundaries a wee bit Rule,as you've left every other side track post on this thread alone, but stepped on this one because it was discussing a competitors line of engines. Just my 02.Yes, you're correct in that I missed those posts as did the rest of the team. There's a lot to read every day, sometimes things get missed.
