Good morning.
Has anyone towed a 1500 Crew Cab on a U-Haul Auto Transport?
It should fit but U-Haul's web site say "Not Recommended".

We may be going out of state to buy a 2500 CTD and need a way to get the 1500 back.

Thanks.

Nope, I used to work for Uhaul and we never allowed someone to rent it to haul full size trucks ....

Now will it fit, yes, but the weight and liability is what they are more concerned about ... Honestly though I wouldn't haul one on those cheap trailers either, have seen them actually break them quite a few times ... not worth it

Thanks for the reply. That's just the info I was looking for.
With the cost of hotel, fuel, food, and time, I think it's cheaper to fly there and drive the truck home.
^^^ DITTO ^^^ ESPECIALLY depending upon distance these days. If You still wanted to tow truck, you need a flatbed car hauler, and I do not want to even think of the cost of fuel, just saying.

Yes and much safer honestly, the amount of incidents I saw because people didn't follow uhauls conditions was seriously insane, from collapsed decks to tongues bending and falling off the hitch because of the weight .

Where are you picking it up from?

I‘d be more than happy to fly out and drive the truck back to So. Calf, of course gas on you

Good day all and Happy July 4th!
Update...
We did buy a 2018 Ram 2500 CTD CC Shot bed 4x4 yesterday (July 3rd).
My intrepid wife drove our 2013 1500 CC 4x4 back from Modesto to Bakersfield. About 240 miles.
I drove the 2500 as my wife could not climb in without steps. First thing ordered.

Thanks for all the ideas.
