I have no idea why did this happen and what caused it. I used it every day to work and back and recently it doesn’t work anymore. any ideas on how to fix it? It is on a 2014 Ram 1500 SLT 5.7 Hemi. Thank you!

Cycle through the 4 buttons on the switch and it might come on. Had to do this with mine for years when it acted up.

Not sure about hemi but similar issue on Chev was the brake pedal sensor - something to check.

Occasionally, I have to hit the button twice to turn it on. Seen some YouTube videos of guys smacking the steering wheel to get the button to work.

The switches wear out and need replacing. Seems relatively common.

It's the contacts on the switch. Just hit the button cluster with your palm or the side of your fist firmly a couple of times. Works every time on my 2015 Laramie.

on Youtube, you would be surprised how many Ram owners have to slap the bar that the CC buttons are mounted on

dirt gets in between the buttons & you could spray a shot of compressed AIR, like the cans that you use on computers to blow the dust out would work fine

I have the same issue on a 2013 big horn. I have replaced the steering wheel buttons and the brake switch sensor and still wont work. When i start the truck and press the button cruise is activated, as soon as i touch the brake pedal it turns it off and wont come back on until engine is turned off.
Any new ideas i can try?

Thanks

That happened on my 2003 Jeep Rubicon, the n the engine started running bad. I ended up replacing the PCM to fix the problem(s).
