Haha. They must not have went to any stop signs. Mine doesn’t always do it and probably doesn’t less than before but I kind of know how to drive it to avoid it most of the time.

yeah I thought mine was getting a bit better but it's not. Same deal. It's pretty damn annoying. I can't imagine it's normal.
Crazy, my '22 PW has the same issue and i was about to take it to the shop. Following this thread in hopes to see if someone will find a resolution to this.

Got it back. They drove it 1 and a 1/2 miles and said they couldn't hear it or feel it. I'am freakin pissed.
The ole: cannot replicate excuse, lol. Unfortunately.

I got a problem with MY 19 that I have been unable to get fixed, the ole all within specs, no issue found. I also am awaiting a New 850W E fan for MY 19, that is stuck somewhere and I hope not on a slow boat from China, LOL.

Yeah I still have the issue even after adjusting for tire size. Who knows.

The 17 1500 I had clunked a little just before a stop. After 2 trips to the dealer with "no problem found", They got the district "super tech" (or whatever he is called) and set me up with an appointment with him. He determined it was the driveshaft sticking on the splines and authorized a new one. That was with 8 K miles on the truck. The new shaft solved the problem.
I sold the truck a year later so can't verify it never returned.

Mine was doing the clunk when you give it a little accelerator and let it off and you get the clunk, mine was the splines on the drive shaft where it goes into the transfer case the grease was dried up regreased it and noise is gone!!

I have heard something about the splines being dry. Maybe I'll try that. What did you torq your bolts too when you reinstalled your driveshaft?

On 4th gens this was a common byproduct of the hill start assist. Try turning that off in the radio settings and see if it does the trick.

yeah that didn't work. Thought it worked when in normal mode rather than manual mode but it still does it in both. Seems the only thing that'll keep it from doing it is in tow haul mode and I think because it doesn't hang on that 4th gear. Can't imagine this is a normal thing.

Well disconnecting my negative post for 10 minutes didn't help. it's annoying af though. Guess i'll live with it for a while and see if anything else develops. It's under full warranty for 8 years. Just a lot of a stop and go driving it my town so it'll be annoying.
I live in a town that is all stop n go and the highway is littered with bright orange squares with speed posted to give you an idea how bad the bump is.. my 66RFE packed it in 5 times in 8 years.. also due to winter roads but needless to say if I only tow/hauled and had something else to daily drive I would not be having this conversation. I had issues like that and my dealer ordered parts and told me I could drive it till they came in.. 2 weeks later they said sorry the tranny is f'ed we ordered you a new one.. then out a vehicle for a month. Annoying af after 5 times is an understatement

He heard the clunk and felt the clunk but couldn’t figure it out. Just drive it like I stole it I guess. Kinda sucks though.

they had this problem with the Durango R/T's back around 15 through 17. couldn't figure it out. Eventually they did. It was a programming problem. I might call FCA and see if I can ruffle some feathers.

I say all of this normal. All my cars that are stout, hiss, scream, creak, clunk, bloop boop, and it means nothing. It's a heavy-duty driveline - it better clunk and feel solid. I've never owned supercar that didn't sound like it was breaking at low speeds. Lambos clunk endlessly, Z06 does 1-2-3-4 up, Ferrari does the clunk from 4 to 1 at all stops, and AWD rally cars sound like the whole drivetrain is going to explode shifting up and down...but they all don't break.

High performance cars /trucks (HD) are not the best DD. They make a ton of noise, and get crappy gas milage, because they're not made for DD. You can - I do - but it is the nature of the beast.

I suggest, some quit these neuroses, have faith in the warranty, drive it like you stole it, and enjoy it for what it is and isn't.

It’s just weird because my other one didn’t do it. It holds to fourth gear till the bitter end and dumps it. Doesn’t always do it
