For those of you that have ordered a new vehicle from Mark Dodge in Louisiana. How was the process once the vehicle was actually at the dealership? How long between when they notified you and you picked up your new vehicle?

What was the process like when you spoke to the finance office?
How long from your purchase did it take for the paperwork to get to your home state and you receive your plates and title?

My new vehicle order has been built and shipped. Est delivery is 7/17. Just looking for insight so I can be prepared.

One thing that you have plenty of time to investigate, before walking in the Finance Office to sign all the papers.

Decide on whether or not, you are going to get one of the
Mopar EXTENDED Warranty, i believe that you can get up to 7 or 8 years.

It begins when you are handed the keys, although you don't ever use it until the Mopar Bumper to Bumper Warranty Expire, ( 3 years or 36,000 ), or something similar .
You have up to almost that time, to actually purchase it

You can shop around for the actual cost of the Extended Mopar Warranty
You can pay Dealership Price, which is usually higher priced than going through a Mopar warranty Broker, like Ziegler.
both policies are identical

Good point. I am not against extended warranties, for some they are worth it, others it may not be. In any case, its important to realize you are not paying for "7 years", you are paying just for the "extension", which is years 4-7. I mention this because they might try to break it down year by year, and show you the total cost is not much if you divide by 7 years. That's not accurate, since years 0-3 is already included. To see the real warranty cost accurately, divide the price by 4 years, not 7.

My last 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, HEMI Powered extended warranty paid for itself, i sold it at 144,000 mostly all Highway miles, in September 2016.

I bought a 2016 Ram eco-diesel in early 2016
I have had no break downs with it, just a few Recalls that were taken care of before any break down

My local dealership matched the internet price, so I purchased it from them right before my factory warranty expired.
You still are able to purchase an extended warranty afterwards, but a dealer will have to “certify” your vehicle 1st, on your dime. If something needs repair, then it must be fixed, again on your dime. Once it’s certified, you can then purchase the extended warranty. Haven’t done this, but I’d guess the cost may be somewhat higher.
Just this week I got an email from Mopar Extended Warranty, and it stated that I could now purchase an extended warranty through them and they would waive the dealership certification.
Having a 2500 with the Cummins, I was just wondering if this maybe something to buy now. I currently have over 117,000 miles on my 2018

I never bought there, but I DID live in Lake Charles back in the 80's early 90's.

I miss the food.

A lot...

I have a 8 year, 125K MAX from Ziegler that I got before my 3 years ran out for $1,725. Not stupid expensive, but a lot cheaper than Dealer financed, like $1,500 cheaper. For the piece of mind, worth it. I have a cooling, fan issue coming up and whenever the Dealership gets the E FAN (which is $367), not counting install etc, and all will cost me $100.00, so will be 1/3 of warranty price on one repair, which for dis BOIRD works. But just my person experience and IMHO...

I love Lake Charles. Its home to a great University, McNeese State U. My daughter went there and got her engineering degree. Wonderful experience. Lake Charles is full of great people. The city is really looking up with all the hurricane repairs taking hold.

FCA warranty's on a diesel are only good for 8 years or 125,000 miles so not worth it for you to buy one unless you want to throw away $3730.00

Not exactly. The extended warranty covers 1st day car rental and beyond even when under the inital 3/36. 3/36 does not cover substitute transportation

I bought from them last year, picked up a 2500 in Nov. and it was the best and easiest process that you can ask for. I had financing arranged out before I went there. They never pressured me or even asked me if I wanted anything extra. In and out of there in about an hour. Would buy from them again without hesitation.

I bought 2 vehicles from Mark Dodge in the past. Sales people are ok if you're savvy enough to know when you're being suckered. Service Dept? That's another dog all together. I wouldn't trust them to fill my windshield washer tank. Worse than your typical dealership service dept by miles!
