I have a 2021 5.7 hemi. The gas pedal is super touchy when first taking off.
Is there a fix for this?

Welcome.

Is sport or haul mode OFF. If they are both off then you need to learn how to modulate the throttle better. These motors put out a lot of horsepower and torque, if you are used to running lower powered cars it can take a while to get used to these. You can have a tuner installed and have this remapped but that is a lot of expense for a pretty minor issue and isn't warranty approved.

Your dealer may also be able to remap, I don't know that because it would never have occurred to me to ask them to make it less responsive/quick.:Big Laugh:

Enjoy it! A bunch of us use a pedal commander or similar device to increase the responsiveness of the throttle. I daresay you're the first with the opposite complaint.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Sounds like moving forward RAM has a built-in Pedal Commander, nice.

I guess you could purchase something like a Pedal Commander and could run it in ECO mode.

Mine has a lag in it if nothing else.

Every now and again it is touchy at certain points and I "reset" the module:

1. Start with the truck off.
2. Get in and shut the driver's door.
3. Turn the truck ON without starting the engine (do not press the brake pedal when pushing the START button).
4. Slowly press the accelerator pedal to the floor and slowly release (should take 10-15 seconds).
5. Turn the truck OFF (push the START button once without touching the brake pedal).
6. Open driver's door to completely "turn off" everything.

It may or may not help your situation but it's free to try.
