Hey everyone,
I had both lower bolts break that mount front shock to lower control arm on passenger side. I can find the bolts (link below), but can't find the flag nuts/clips that attach to the LCA (8mmx1.25). Is it just a generic part? Haven't taken the broken ones out yet since it's a daily driver. Might be able to get broken bolts out and reuse nuts but would rather just find new ones if possible, but definitely not buying a new LCA if they come with it. I live off grid in rough terrain so I'm guessing that's what caused it.

Are you saying nope because your mileage is outside the warranty or something else? Being that it is a 2020 I’m not understanding why not? Either way I would just reuse your old flag nut. Not like it is on a 15-20 year old truck. If it were I would possibly want new ones but being only a couple year old truck I wouldn’t hesitate. Just my .02.

Yes, we need to know the cause so that we can find the solution.

I doubt it was 'rough terrain' = the trucks are built for that and it only happened to 1 shock.

I suggest you start looking at all the other bolts on the other shocks. Find the torque spec and see if they are in spec.

If that’s the case it’s no big deal because we have all been there. I could care less if it’s warranty or not. It’s just an odd thing to break off and figured it would be a warranty issue but if not then cool. Either way if he wants to replace the flag nuts then so be it and just go to the dealer and see if they can order them. Or reuse them if they are usable like I said before.
