Trying to plan a last minute Father's Day Camping trip.

Thank goodness we have a small camper and need no amenities.

Wow. Camping needs to go back to being what people scoff at and put their nose up to.

I know how great it is...i want people to think it is ikky again.

I did not take any pics this weekend. We had a great time. But man, campground camping has many annoyances. I eventually stopped comparing to the forest sites.

My son got his first experience of being launched out of his kayak by wind and rough waters. He performed flawlessly...except we learned mom pays no attention...lol.

It is a great story...but too much to type.

Past 3 days in Glacier could have had better weather but it’s a beautiful place. The primary road through the park was closed at about the halfway point. Off to Jackson Wy area via Butte today, then heading back east.FDF7D5B1-2B5B-49C9-A1F7-BE9B0362681A.jpegC546C6D1-C06F-4EFA-A313-B00BAE7CA34F.jpeg6ABFAD47-7D9D-496B-943B-01B3918DC3CC.jpeg

Lots of great pics added since my last check in here. Beautiful country out west. I need to get out there someday.

Don’t let anything deter you. My wife and I are retired and enjoying seeing the absolute beauty of our country. We’ll be in Grand Teton Natl Park tomorrow.

Toured Teton National Park today, it might be my new favorite. First pic is the Grand Teton, elevation is just under 14,000 feet.
The lake is Jackson Lake. I didn’t realize that the upper area of Teton is only 8 miles from Yellowstone south entrance, if you want to see them both.DA6BE448-2C47-4070-ABCC-911A7EBA9C54.jpeg3A446EDA-6DB2-47B1-AD52-A8FC02DE03AA.jpeg61D38FAD-5E40-4B1C-9181-59181A6A1FD6.jpegC1F15701-EB94-4CB2-899F-3D7C7A2FDBD1.jpeg

Beautiful pics. Just got back from a trip to Eminence, MO for a lot of kayaking. Had a great time but no pics.. as phone got wet early in the trip and is dead:(. Ozark national riverways is beautiful though, and the campground we stayed at, Alley Spring, was quite nice. Float trips available right from the cg on the Jacks fork(nice and cold water), or a short drive for trips on the Current river(even colder). We love the clear ozark streams!.

That sounds like a nice trip! If we had one more day near Teton they have white water rafting on the Snake River. Sorry about the phone :(

The phone was just a stupid error... we were just floating on tubes around the campground and I had my phone in what was supposed to be a waterproof case... but it wasn't. Whitewater rafting would be fun though.. we did it a few years back in Dinosaur NP. We stopped in the tetons when visiting Yellowstone in 2018. Very pretty.

^^^ It's been an interesting spring this year. Hopefully summer will be better weather wise. Just saw on the news this morning that one of the ski hills is opening up for Canada Day Long Weekend (July 1st) because there is still so much snow. Skiing in the summer, crazy.

We’ve been at the Famcamp at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for a few days. Great place and only $35 a night if you’re a veteran. Went to Garden of the Gods yesterday and Pikes Peak tomorrow. Happy Birthday America and may God continue to bless her!3771BE20-1694-4021-A378-482F4F0F84CF.jpeg3B6420FB-ABB7-4888-9650-0B894955BDCF.jpeg

This will likely be my last post on this thread for a while. We’re leaving Colorado Springs in the morning, enroute Virginia Beach to visit our 2 daughters, then head back to Florida. I’ve shown pics of where we have traveled to show how beautiful our country is, as well as provide a carrot to you younger guys who can’t travel as much yet. Work hard towards that retirement and enjoy life.
That said, we drove the Ram up Pikes Peak yesterday. It was fun but not a drive for the faint hearted! Lots of tight turns and steep climbs to get to the summit at 14,100 feet. Very few guard rails there!
If you ever get to Colorado take your Ram to Pikes Peak! It’s paved and most vehicles can make it but this is a Ram forum :). Be prepared to use 2nd and 3rd gear coming down to save your brakes.66F3C9F6-F9B8-433D-88DB-5E764DD448F2.jpegD8C1E9DE-A1DE-4F78-A765-661D457F886B.jpeg966A61A3-0A32-4AB0-A4CD-32D6C310A16E.jpeg
