After working on converting bits of my interior to the red highlights from a rebel I realized that after one piece the rest looked weird so slowly changing everything to match.
The hard part was there are no red door panels for a regular cab so I made my own. I bought the front panels out of a crew rebel and have been switching over the pieces. Looks really good so far.
I have the dash and steering wheel yet to change.

Very nice dude,I've gone the rebel route in mine a little,I painted a lot of the trim inside, air vents ,light switches.I put laramie seats in and limited door panels in and changed stitching colour to red, plus neck rests and seat belt covers that have red embroidery and got a custom leather dash matt made with the red, also custom center console lid wrapped in black leather with red stitching. It's a disease I tell you lol

I gotta get some pics in the daytime but it’s coming along. I still need seats, steering wheel and dash yet but it gives a unique look for sure.

Wow! That looks awesome ! Im
Planning to do this on my single cab too but I would like to Do the limited one . How were you able to achieve this? Any help would be good on what tools
You use and how to remove and put it back as well. Also does it have to be from a quad panel or crew panel?

Doesn’t matter on the quad or crew as the inserts are the same. When grinding the plastic welds just don’t grind too much and take it slow as some of the plastic (especially the white plastic) is very brittle and just breaks.
I used black epoxy along with small screws to hold them and they seem pretty solid so far.
My son is borrowing the truck for college so I paused my conversion for now.

Get some laramie seats for it,the difference in comfort is great,I had mine powered by connecting to center console power plug in and changed fuse to 25amp.Now I have it wired like factory with heated/cooled seats.Otherwise works great just powered.

I definitely wanna do that as well. I have a 5th gen limited steering wheel I wanna try to make work while I’m replacing the clock spring plus I’m doing the full dash replacement to wrap up the conversion.
If the steering wheel doesn’t work I’ll just swap it into my 5th gen Bighorn.

just as a quick run through

front rebel quad or crew door panels with the desired trim

your door panels from the regular cab

when you flip the panels over you start by very easily grinding the plastic welds down to where you can separate the inner section from the outer surround on all the panels. The white plastic is very brittle compared to the grey and black plastics so be easy when grinding those areas. Try and just grind around the melted edges and leave the centers intact as much as possible or it will be harder to reassemble.

next you assemble the rebel inner to your regular cab surround. I used black epoxy to weld the pieces together then put very short trim screws where I could to help hold everything together. I put epoxy on the screws to prevent them from backing out.

I don’t have actual part numbers as I just found the rebel door panels on eBay.
I guess you could buy the parts new but would be pretty pricey and would need to buy a lot of little things. If you need part numbers I would hit Benny up with a VIN from a rebel so he can source the right part numbers.

I have all the parts for the proximity setup but haven’t installed them yet. My son has the truck right now so will be a future project.

Thank you for your help! I manage to do mine and it took me 3 days to have 1 complete . Definitely a lot of work but at the end of the day it looks so damn nice compare to the nasty gray one . I was able to do the LED on the handle as well and it looks so damn nice! . I have a limited steering wheel and bezel as well. Trying to see if I will get the center console from a limited and the sell the one I have . I did put the leather handles as well.

Gonna open this can of worms up lol. I've got some RT panels but the drivers door armrest is coming off and the top part, where the piece with the door lock coming out is and the rest of it, is splitting as well and going to attempt this and fixing the splitting.

What black epoxy did you use exactly? Also, how short were the trim screws used to re secure the arm rest and trim panel above it? Assume a Dremel-style tool was used to do the grinding away of the plastic using a fine tip?
