I recently cleaned my Moroso oil catch can (with release valve). When I first installed it, the pressure in the catch can was positive (when I opened the valve, air would rush out). Now there is a vacuum when I open it. I switched the hose orientation but still get a vacuum. Is this normal? Don’t know how I screwed this one up. Any help would be appreciated.

Picture would help,as the Moroso can be plumbed either direction.Techinically you should have vaccumn if the engine is runnin, but no vacumn or pressure once you shut the engine off.You are draining it when the engine is off i hope.

Appreciate the heads up stressing out for nothing when I remote started the truck got a plume of smoke. I knew the catch can was clogged (before I cleaned it).

I'm at 133K; installed the catch can around 60K miles. The amount of crap that caught is nothing short of amazing (especially during winter).

If anyone is interested in a catch can, check out the UPR catch cans we offer. They are great, I run them on my personal vehicles. If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out and ask.
