I’ve asked a similar question in the past but with the carli drop brackets. But now there’s more options for radius arms.

I’m not crazy about how floaty my steering feels at times. Alignment is on point. Reality is it’s a lifted solid axle. But I am wondering if putting on metal cloak radius arms would maybe tighten up the feeling a bit.
My thoughts are the stock arms are prob a tad short due to the lift and potentially the articu link lends to the floatier feel. I could be very wrong, which is why I’m asking here.

You title says radius arms without a lift but your post is saying you have a lift? Which one is it and it so how much lift.

Either way I doubt you will get what you are looking for with just new radius arms. You would probably have to do a stiffer spring as well and even then you might not be happy. just my 2c.

Sorry. The power wagons have a lift vs a stock 2500. I believe it’s 2-2.5. I have a power wagon on stock power wagon suspension.

From my understanding the articulink arms are same length as the stock 2500s.

Also asking if swapping them with metal cloaks will improve steering. Maybe dropping the articulink helps, maybe being slightly longer will help, maybe being sturdier will help. I have no clue.

I know one guy I spoke to said the Carlis were a huge improvement. But for the price of those. it’s not something I’m willing to experiment with. If I can get some better steering slapping those metal cloaks on id be interested.

You can still play with caster some too. The pw arm is actually really good and I wouldn’t go to a non pw arm especially if you plan on wheeling. I have a non pw 2500 that I’ve been running pw arms on for almost 3 years. I’ve had some custom arms made that allow the rigidity of the oem arm but still flex very well. And you can remove one link when crawling for a more “3-link” setup. Firch fab is getting ready to realer the 4th gens rams we’ve been running in my truck for a bit now. I’ve also used Thuren Alien Radius arms and they’re nice. But offer nothing over the oem non pw arm other then the ability to clear larger tires with no rubbing. If you don’t wheel those are a great option Also.

Oem vs firch arms. And oem vs aliens. “PW oem”. Both are drop in replacements and require no extra work. Up to 3” of lift caster fully adjustable.

Thank you for the insight from experience. The power wagon is capable for all the off road needs. I was just hoping to tighten up that loose steering. My buddy is a 3500 and the steering feels completely different than mine. Thoughts

Out of curiosity, what tires are you running on the PW versus the tires on this 3500?

sounds like you bought the wrong vehicle and didnt know what you were getting into. pw may seem a bit soggy compared to other stiff lumber wagon trucks. i cant see different radius arms helping you one bit

Not a expert in anyway but if the aftermarket arms have way better bushing in them then you might see a difference.
When I pulled the stock rear arms off my 1500 I noticed a way more stable ride the Core arms were worth the money in that case.

I’m happy with the truck. Was just wondering if there’s a way so that the steering is a bit more like the 3500 I drove. The suspension I love. It’s not jarring when you hit a bump.
