I like most things about my RAM, not a fan of FCA's decision to take a mostly blacked out truck (bumpers, wheels, etc.) and have silver lug nuts and RAM across the nose. Currently, I am fighting a blue tooth connectivity issue with an MP3 player I specifically bought because it had blue tooth, and would supposedly be able to talk to my Uconnect. I have heard, for years now, about the rust and rot that plagues Dodges/Rams in the wheel wells later on in life, and the lifter tick issues that seem to be in the HEMI line, no matter the engine size. But my Warlock just passed the 10k miles mark so hopefully that will be many years away.

- The entire infotainment system sucks and needs to be redone. U5 might have accomplished this, but from posts I've read on this forum, it to looks to be garbage too.

- Fuel mileage is horrible for a modern 1/2 ton truck. What the window sticker claims isn't half bad, but the majority of these trucks don't come close to it.

- The App: it is extremely slow, sometimes doesn't work at all, and should be included with the purchase price of the truck.

- Payload needs to be higher by 200-300 lbs

- Hemi needs to be updated or replaced. Power is good, but it has common manifold and lifter issues.. mine is currently waiting on new Manifold @ 35k miles (est 90 days for parts).

If I had to complain, it would be that the 12" UConnect isn't very user friendly. There is a lot that could really be streamlined to make more sense, just seems like there is a lot of stuff that's hidden and hard to find on there.

Just picked up my first ever Ram 1500 Friday, so we're still on the honeymoon. It's isn't my first Stellantis vehicle though as I owned a '19 Jeep JL Unlimited.

I guess the only minor annoyance is there's no way to control the temp of the HVAC system unless to turn the infotainment screen. Where's my dang buttons to turn the ac/heat up and down. Mine is the 8.4 screen, and it appears the only thing I can do is turn the fan down taking the system out of auto at the same time. I know, wah, wah, wah, I'm a big baby. :)

The RAM gets me in trouble with my wife. I park on a sloped driveway and if I back up too fast, the truck auto brakes. One time with wife in truck, I got into an autobrake situation. She blamed me and I mentioned it was the truck. Now she chuckles when I try to use the truck as an excuse for my lousy driving.

I would want the passenger side mirror to tilt down when reversing. Literally, thats it.

That's a good one my friend. I tired them, and with both looking down it's just annoying. I turned that feature off.
I end up moving them manually - esp. when backing into a parking spot. Knowing where that back wheel is when parallel parking is the way to execute it perfectly. :)

yeah, I know I have a camera now days but I’m a bit old school.

That's how I do it my friend, just drop the passenger side myself. And I understand the "old school" thing. I grew up relying on mirrors for everything when backing, and for the life of me I cannot get used to trusting that dang backup camera. :)

And there will never come a day when I trust that auto parking feature in the truck.

I’ve had that on a few cars - I could never get used to having it be automated. I’d rather just do it manually as you said - maybe it was a lack of trust, maybe I just like the control of my truck.

One thing I do love is the Lane Keep Assist. On a Long highway drive, it’s almost like an auto-drive system but it takes the road fatigue out and allows me to spend more time in the seat. :)

To "AirMaech74":
The RAM (and large trucks) are not really citycars. There are a lot of SUVs on market, which better fit to a "city driver" as you say, but also can used on countryside. OK the feeling is not the same as in a truck. ;)

To all others:
I'm living on a ranch and drive mostly on bad road surfaces, load stuff and tow horsetrailer what the RAM is really for.
Only one negative thing I just can't understand why NAVIgation is omitted from my Rebel.
Notice:
I can't moove the track in "D" at open door. Is this normal? Sometimes I just want roll few meters further.
Integrated step in the rear bumper like Silverados have, wouldn't be pretty but practically.
My opinion:
To much electrical features and assists are mostly unnecessary and make vehicles only more expensive. If someone want go crazy of them, should drive a VOLVO.

Good topic. I've been an exclusive Toyota Tundra driver since 2004, save for one disastrous 2010 F-150, but the hideousness of the new Tundra is haunting my dreams. The Ram is the best looking truck on the market and the abject failure of Toyota to read the room has me looking at other options as well. I'm not at all familiar with the Ram trim levels so that's what I've been investigating first.

Easy: Higher trim: ==== more options (more comfort on mid trim) // (more bling plus added comfort high trims) ==== Less $$$ in yer wallet

i'm finding it a real pain in the @ss that i can't back up with my door open.
If you leave the seat belt on. It works. You can click it behind you or get one of those dummy plugs from Amazon.

Some guy ran over himself by falling out of his truck in gear...true story.

Hmm, lets see. I love my 2021 Limited Night Edition. Looks fantastic, very attractive interior, ride comfort is second to none. I haven't had any issues with mine, but if I had to complain about something, I wish there was a way to only have the passenger side mirror tilt when in reverse. I also would like the mirrors to fold when I put my truck into park. One other thing is I would like to be able to change the temperature at which the seat heat/ventilation and steering wheel heat come on. All pretty minor annoyances in the end. I'm sure people who have experienced the rear window cracks/leaking or fueling issues might have a more negative opinion about their Ram trucks.
I have a 2022 RAM 1500 DT Laramie that has this feature installed... Great!... however, when enabled, the side view mirrors do not tilt down "slightly" as described in the manual, but all the way down to the fully tilted position. This is a worthless setting as all I can see is the pavement. What if someone is walking by or there are other obstructions? Use the backup camera you say!

Why can't I set the position of the reverse mode to a place that suits my needs and have it be saved like the driving mode has memory?

I want to set the mirrors to see the bottom of the rear tires in the bottom of the mirror's view while still seeing what is approaching such as a curb, lines, or parking bumper I am backing toward, as well as a little beyond without having to look at the backup camera's monitor! This would also apply to parallel parking in the street.

With this setting disabled, I can of course manually (with the switches) lower the mirrors (one at a time) to the view I want, but that of course means that once I go back into drive or park, the mirrors must be reset to driving mode which defeats the purpose of the memory mirrors!

DOES THE DEVICE AND THE ALPHAOBD APP OFFER THE ABILITY TO EITHER SET THE BOTTOM POSITION ONCE TO THE FDRIVER'S TASTE, OR BETTER STILL ENABLE THE MEMORY FEATURE FOR REVERSE LIKE THE DRIVING MEMORY DOES?

OR does anyone out there have any thoughts on activating this option?
