Sorry if this has been addressed - my search skills yielded nothing. If its out there please direct me to existing threads.

2012 Ram 1500 with the Uconnect 730N infotainment System w/steering wheel control buttons etc.

Problem with touch screen - the buttons on the bottom row of the screen don't respond. It almost seams like the touch screen isn't calibrated with the location of the buttons. The further down the screen I go, the further off to the point that when you touch the very bottom row buttons it activates the button on row above it? This stinks because there are some very important buttons on that bottom row - phone pairing etc. etc. - that I cant find any other way to activate.

The only functions I actually use are hands free calling (bluetooth with IPhone), Bluetooth pairing for playing media from IPhone, voice recognition, steering wheel controls, Satellite Radio, and backup cam.

Dealer says it is hardware issue and only solution is new $3K system (no replacement parts/screen etc. available) - "Flashing" system, software upgrade etc. no help.

Are there any companies that do repairs, Houston area preferably? Or sell replacement parts/screen that might work?

Any aftermarket systems that work seamlessly with the stock features I use?

Anyone else have this issue and found other solutions?

Any help appreciated!

I know an old thread... but just in case someone ends up here trying to figure out how to calibrate their 2012 Uconnect screen like I did. I finally figured it out (at least works on my 2012 RAM 3500).

With powered on (not the blank screen clock), go to the menu screen (press menu if you are on the radio or nav screen).

All at the same time quickly press the Seek Up, Seek Down, and Menu Buttons.
You'll get a warning pop up about the "Engineering Menu", select OK.
Scroll down in the new menu until you find "Calibrate Screen".
Follow instructions and click the points in order, when push menu.

Your screen should now be calibrated... you can do it again if it doesn't come out just right.
