Was just looking through the list of known settings and I noticed this setting in the headed seats/wheel write up. Gonna try this to see if it brings up the controls section in the radio.

CustSetMenu 1-Auto-on driver comfort CSM (option 2-3)

The auto driver comfort enables heated seats and wheel or ventilated seat if the weather is cold enough or hot enough (below 40 or above 80), nothing else

Well that’s disappointing to hear. So I guess it just adds a soft button to turn that feature on and off them. Not sure what I need to do to get that ‘controls’ section to appear.

I believe those are the 3 you need. Don't forget sometimes after you change settings it can take 24 hours for them to take hold

Yeah I’ve already done those. None of those are CSM settings which I believe are the ones that add a soft key to the radio.

I did all the auto dim and auto high beam settings at the same time. Auto high beam soft key is now in the radio, there is no ‘controls’ section in my radio where the auto dim soft key is located.

Check out this post it shows the controls screen. It is in the settings menu on the radio Home Screen.

Yeah I do not have a controls soft key on my UAS.

I’ve looked everywhere. I even troubleshooted with @skuppy069 with no luck. He believes is may be a glitch in the Uconnect and thinks I should take it to the dealer for an update

Jumping in as I am reading in preparation for my '18 Rebel.

I was part of the recall batch where they gave us "base" interior mirrors when we "paid" for autodimming.

I didn't have the control on my UAx Radio (8.4 NAV) until I had to have my battery replaced. This somehow made the radio actually rescan the truck for the first time in apparently like 3 YEARS, and it was like "Oh, you have this thing... Okay, fine... I'll let you control it."

Except my truck now has issues with the radio where it usually doesn't show all the options at all for ~30s when I first start the truck. Even after removing the entire radio to fix the "delam", (which I missed a small spot, that causes it to open the bottom left uconnect option in any display mode if I push too hard...)

You might need to, but you might want to try disconnecting power from the truck (or radio) for a bit. Simulate a battery replacement, with out the OBD2 "memory keeper". This got me the autodimming mirror the dealer "fixed" for me. If you are considering the dealer anyway, wouldn't hurt to try that first.

I actually got everything straightened out with a software update for my AUS. Got the update file from someone on here and did it in the driveway. As soon as it was updated all the stuff that was supposed to be on the radio was finally there. I had also enabled heated wheel, and heated/vented seats (even though I don’t have the seats yet) but none of that previously showed up. The ‘controls’ section was nowhere to be found until the update and now it’s there.

Do you know if that OS is compatible with the '18's? Your dealer screen is pretty different from mine though.

I’m not an expert on software updates but there are different software version for different radios. My radio is a UAS. If you have a UAQ then that software update is not for your radio. If you have a UAS like me then it will work. I was on 22.64.0 before that update.

... And I believe you have to be on application version 22.64.x or higher to be able to successfully load that v39.x. Update without bricking the radios.... (I believe that's what someone else told me?)

Application version 22.60.x won't work

Yeah I should have mentioned, the bulletin for that upgrade states it is only for versions 22.64 or higher.

So I have a full telematics mirror but it doesn't have the Smartbeam for Auto Dim high beam. Can I just add the mirror with Smartbeam and not have to add the harness? I already see in AlphOBD and have tired turning on the feature, but then found out I need the Smartbeam mirror. Everything shows up in the controls/radio for the Auto Dim.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
