Here’s my former 3500, still for sale. $62260 was the msrp on the Monroney sticker from new, May 2019. I paid $55k after taxes and financing charges…

”Great price”… sure lol. I suppose considering most 3500’s on lots are well into $85-$100k… is you can find them.

Back when the Hemi Magnums came out, there was a $10k "Supply and demand" added
#4 actually got me into my Magnum

Do Ram dealers (or auto dealers in general) really think we will all forget which of them gouged on price during this time? .....Do these guys really think that we will forget that they behaved this way once things return to “normal”?
Yes, they do think that....In fact, they know that. Referencing the price gouging in the gun industry during shortages and seeing how many people still line up to do business with the gougers when things calm down, I can say that the dealers don't really care and consumers aren't ready to really "punish" anyone with their wallets. Funny, but during SuperBowl week, scalpers are celebrated and not burned at the stake. I wonder why that is?

There's an old saying, 'The wind don't blow up the same dogs A** every day" Also, Karma's a Bit**! That elon guy is smiling all the way to the bank while the oil goons are going to price themselves out of the market. Falling right in to his hands.

not everybody has short memories.i don't buy anything from Smittybilt, several chain stores and will never give Maple Ridge Chrysler another cent of my hard earned money.i speak loudly with my wallet.i bought another new boat last sept. and got the royal run around from Atlantis Marine, but they had the only boat in Canada that i was looking for so i had no choice but to deal with them, but i didn't even buy a piece of dock line from them after the initial boat purchase, and i'm still waiting for my kicker motor to show up.it still leaves a bad taste thinking about that expierience.my local chandler got all my biz for a super mabel, tow ropes, wakeboard, fenders, lines, new pfd's etc.

And they knew that. Nothing personal, but you also had the choice of looking for another type of boat and spending your money with someone who would have treated you better. I'll copy my original post witht is quote: "I can say that the dealers don't really care and consumers aren't ready to really "punish" anyone with their wallets." Your purchase proved that.

no,they had the only boat i was intertested in and they didn't know it.if they did i would't have been in a position to negotiate a favourable deal, which i actually did.i'm not stupid enough to show my hand and look desperate.they're now dragging their feet living up to the agreement. there's no excuse for shoddy customer service, period.

I’m guessing the gouging will quickly be forgotten because of the convenience of buying from your local dealer and the little incentives you get like free inspections and such. During this time it makes sense to fly across the country for a vehicle that is being sold at 10 under msrp vs a vehicle that is being sold at 10 to 15 over msrp locally. However will that be the case when the difference is only a few hundred or maybe a grand?

The truck I have now as well as the Ram before this were both purchased from Kernersville Dodge in NC. I live in Florida, 680 miles away. I'd drive back there for more reasons than the money. Transparency, selection, ease of transaction. Ram dealers in the local Tampa Bay area can lick my b a l l s a c k ...Their service blows, their selection blows, their pricing blows....They blow. Every...F%^&$...one of them.

Fair enough. there are definitely just overall bad dealers.
