Got my light in today. I got rough country 20in black series LED light bar and a pair of there led reverse lights with DRL function. I will post up picture of the Install as I go and any questions I have.

First off my rocker switches have led lights that light up the words light bar and rear lights. Heres my plan, for now I plan on hooking up the lower lights to the parking light via fuse tap in the fuse box. so the lower lights on the switch come on only when the head lights/parking lights come on. The top lights on the switch come on when they are powered up reguardless. Question are fuse taps reliable and a good way to rob power or should I tap directly into a wire and solder the wires together?

The reverse light I will say are pretty soild. The harness included with them is alot better than I figured it would be. It has quality connectors nice sheathing to protect it , I'm very impressed for the money. These light have DRL function and I will use the DRL function as my supplement back up lights. I will tap into my trailer wiring for the back up light switch wire and then there will be a rocker switch in the cab to turn on the main "flood" function. This will help hooking and unhooking trailers at night or anytime I need a little extra light. The lights will be flush mounted in the rear bumper.

The front led light. It is the 20 in black series it looks great I'm going to mount in in the lower grill insert. I will cut out the lower mesh and flush mount it between the front parking sensors. Also I plan on installing my switches next to the usb plugs in the center console. The picture (not my truck I have the 8.4) I'm posting has it circled where I will be installing the switches as long as I have room I think i should as the OEM CD player goes there if equipped.

Hopefully by the end of next weekend I will have everything mounted and wired up. I will post pictures along the way any questions comments or concerns send them.

Update progress got the switches mounted I was happy to find plenty of room to mount the switches how I wanted. I figured with that being the location of the factory cd player there should of been. Now mounting the switches I just used masking tape and the gasket that came with the switches to make a template. I cut as much as I could with a cut off on the dremel and then used a file to slowly open it up and square it off. I'm happy with them hopefully mounting the lights them self turn out as good. I did find out the parking lights them self's were not fuses but grouped as exterior lighting under a large 40a so no fuse tapping there when I tap the trailer harness I'll take parking power from there as well as the reverse lights.

Heres what you really wanted is pics.

Another progress update. Today I got the reverse lights and the light bar mounted. No wiring has been accomplished but atleast its progress. I made a bracket to mount the light bar it's just 1x1 angle and .125 plate welded together. There was already holes in the frame rail that I utilized to mount it to.

Also the rear bumper isn't as flat as I would like it to be but the flushed up pretty good.

I will stand by my promise! I have been over loaded lately and haven’t had any time to get these bad boys wired up. I finally had motivation and half decent weather and made forward progress. I got all the wire ran from the back to the front, 2 relays mounted and it covered in loom and tape. I hopefully will get them wired up and finished in the days to come. Here’s a few progress pics.

here is the moment y’all have been waiting for. It only took 4 months to get here but some pics, the iPhone camera enhances the night pictures so it’s tuff to tell but if you focus on the trees you can really tell the difference. The light bar projected out left and right more than I thought it would for such a narrow bar, over all I’m pretty pleased.

DAMN! That lightbar really makes for a good end product on a backroad at night! Making me itch to get mine installed.

So what Wire did you end up hooking up the switches so the one LED only comes on with Lights on? I am getting ready to install my switch Panel tonight for all my fun lights :)

I pulled from the trailer wiring (the parking lights) I don’t remember what color off the top of my head. I didn’t want to cut into the factory main harness that’s why I chose the trailer wiring.
