I went with the Trans Adapt relocation filter kit after seeing it here in the forums. I added 10 an hose and fittings. So far I am pretty happy with it. It also allowed me to go with a bigger oil filter. Adds almost an extra quart of oil and so far no heating problems pulling our camper trailer.. If you change your own oil, I highly recommend putting one on along with a Fermoco oil drain plug. Makes changing oil a much more pleasant experience...

Do you have a link for the oil drain plug you are talking about?

I thought the fittings could've been larger, but I still see 38-40 hot idle and 48-50 hot driving.
Mine starts up around 60psi and hot idle is still over 40psi, 392 oil pumps flow more than 5.7's and Hellcat's flow even more. I didn't do the Hellcat pump because the 392 piston squirters are different than the Hellcat, I was kinda scared how this Hellcat oil cooler would affect with 6.4, but its been really good, not sure how it would behave with the 5.7 because of the smaller oil pump, I'm sure the Hellcat pump flows more for the bigger oil cooler.

Here is a link to the fumoto site. You can also get them on Amazon. I like them so well, I put one on my car. They seem to be well made.
I would advise against these, FRAM made one back in the day, and I had it on my Vortec 5.7 and I noticed it was running funny so I pulled it out and tons of sludge came out of my oil pan, because the fitting goes further up than the bottom of oil pan and doesn't drain it all, my truck only had 50k and I had to change the engine.

There's nothing wrong with the fumoto valve. It doesn't extend up into the pan.

I might not have bought one for the truck, but I had it left over from my Jeep. Saved removing the skid plate in that application.

How are your oil temps while under heavy load mixed with a little red light traffic or long Steep grades (again with heavy throttle, even WOT)?

My 6.4 has the oe oil cooler but with the summer heat any time ambient is above 90° F and similar conditions as above my oil temp launches from 160° F to 235° F. And if my AC is on, well I'll say it gets shut off immediately, if I'm in stop and go or sustained climb it is a struggle to cool it off. Actually had to turn my heater on full blast with ambient at 99° F the other day. Wife was not impressed.

The 3000 stall tc isn't helping, trans has aux, but my engine oil cooler is either plugged or too small for the mods combined w the drivers foot. I really like the idea of a hellcat sized cooler instead of an additional aux cooler. Tia

My oil temp has effectively dropped 20-30 degrees but I have definitely noticed that sitting still for extended times it rises pretty quick because of the lack of airflow across the cooler.

Yeep, these don't stick out into the pan .... I checked myself before I installed it because I was concerned about this as well

Nope, not true, I checked myself before I installed mine on my truck, doesn't stick out into the pan at all ...

Only thing OEM was the Hellcat/TRX oil cooler and the TRX oil filter adapter, everything else I built.
Any idea if there is valving or a bypass inside the adapter? Also curious if the adapter can be run with plugging off the cooler fittings?

Right on, I don't really have a need for a cooler now but want to make it easier to do oil changes.

Id be all over this idea not even for the cooler, but simply to relocate the absolutely horrendous factory oil filter location. But i'd rather have a way to mount the filter vertical. Does anyone make an adaptor with hoses?
