2017 Ram Ecodiesel, 238000 miles.
I was almost at speed, heard what sounded like the tire hitting a piece of tin on the road and then lost all power. I got it to the side of the road and it shut itself off. It hasn't restarted since.

I'm getting some kind of fuel pressure from the high pressure pump. Not sure of the psi.
All intake lines look good and were secure.

Plenty of oil and pressure

Coolant temp and tyranny temp were good

Coolant level was good.

Starting to tear into it now.

If anyone has any tips I'd sure appreciate it.

Update...
Not sure if anyone else has the MX+ OBD2 box coupled with the alphaOBD app from android...
But it helps. I was able to get in to the system and graph both the target fuel pressure and the actual.... I'm about 10% of the target pressure while turning it over. Might be the High Pressure Fuel Pump. But still... any advice would be greatly appreciated

I had her in for the EGR cooler and they TOLD me that there were no more recalls on that vehicle. However, since the HPFP was the easiest to check I pulled it.... FULL OF METAL SHAVINGS!!!!

Check it out thoroughly it may have put those fillings in the fuel system.
You can say that again. Looks more than a might. That could / might have been catastrophic. Hopefully the injector clogged and it never could pass into the cylinder?

I contacted the dealer near me and they said recall repair/replacement is scheduled to be launched first quarter 2023 by FCA

I’d be curious if @RamCares could do something for you since you would qualify to be repaired now??? Maybe??? So you don’t have a truck until then? Then who’s to say they will do it in Jan vs. March.

Not sure on Edo Diesel but on the CTD with shaving in the fuel system when they replace pump they also replace the lines & injectors, some have reported they also do filters if the have to replace injectors...
