It's possible just the smoke has been let out, adding blinker fluid won't help.
Just in case you an grab some replacement smoke, it stocked next to the blinker fluid.Smokekit2.jpg
it says wiring harness but will work for everything..

Can't be too bad, you have a 2016 Ram.

C'mon, that's funny, laugh it off.

But I want 100% synthetic blinker fluid, I don't want to use that cheap blended stuff, I only want the best for my LED lights being we all know that with Synthetic it will last longer an you will get better performance :Big Laugh: :dogpile:

Common @Misswreid the guys were just kidding around about the blinker fluid and hold in the smoke it's a mechanical term, we are interested in what you found and keep in touch.

so apparently the whole tail light has to be replaced....

Unbelievable.......

The funny thing is that just 2 days ago it started working again.....
I dont know....
So not sure if you have the same issue that I had with my older Grand Cherokee but the assembly that holds the rear bulbs actually melted from being on the brake pedal I guess and I had to replace the entire thing because of that...might be why they're saying that yours needs to be replaced. You s/b able to get the part on eBay or Amazon for a lot less than the stealerships will charge.

Good luck!
