I just bought a 2022 Big Horn. Didn't have the option to order LED lighting.

I would like to upgrade the bulbs to LED. Any info about whether they will fit behind any possible dust cover, will they require a CANBUS decoder, will I need to flash the BCM?

I have not worked on any American vehicles, (only German) so I am not sure about any of this.

Do you have any recommendations regarding brands? Also, looking at my manual, it says that I have both H11 and 9005 bulbs for the headlights, but from the outside I only see one bulb. What is correct? I know that the fog light is H11 and that all bulbs need to be clocked.

I'm a newbie here any any and all information is appreciated.

Your truck has a H11 low beam bulb and a 9005 high beam bulb.

The high beam portion is the dark area on the lower left of the diagram drawing. (near the "10").

Everyone has their opinion for choice of LED replacement bulbs. There is probably a few hundred if not more LED/headlight threads here to search.

I have a 2019 1500 Classic with Halogen Quad Bulbs i have 3 other Family members that have 1500 Rams from 2017 to 2018 with halogen quad lights all have gone to Farhen LED H11 low beam and 2005 High beam and love them ! they have not had any issue with them no flicker and did not have to flash BCM ! PLUG and PLAY i just ordered for my truck from Amazon $49.99 for Pair (2 bulbs per pack)
just got to make sure your polarity is correct when plugging them in pos + to pos + and Neg - to Neg - and they are can bus ready and lots of room in head light housing for every thing to fit no mods needed nice and tidy install !
hope this helps

If you want to change the look of the front end, you could replace the headlights themselves with ones that are LED.
The Nova and Luxx series are LED:

If you decide just to swap in LED "bulbs" into your current reflector housings, be sure to check how they're aimed afterwards.

Do you have a link for the 2005 bulb? I can't seem to find it on Amazon.
Thanks,
Smokem

Those are 9005 bulbs. Not 2005....

I’m gonna give the Lasfit bulbs a try on Amazon. Several with good reviews from ram owners. I ordered the sea light bulbs and didn’t like the preconnected canbus so

I have used this brand for the last few years. My 4th gen, wife's jeep, and my 5th gen. Never had any issues and I do a lot of night/early morning driving. They do fit behind the 5th gen dust covers no problem.
As stated before make sure your take the time to clock them correctly and adjust beam height afterwards.

Can you post some pictures of the lights on and your view from front seats? I hate my Halogen in my 2500... GARB

I replaced my halogen low beams, high beams, and fogs with Lasfit LED’s. I couldn’t be happier. I had a 2019 Ram with the LED package and traded it for a 2022 with halogens. I hated the yellow lights. Lasfit bulbs are the way to go. Exact fit no alterations needed.

I replaced my halogen low beams and fog lights with leds. I’m very happy. I never use the high beams so I didn’t change them. I usually drive with the low beams and fog lights on. I got mine from vleds.com
