New Ram orders, when, where and share what you know

So, to clarify, both online and at the dealer, rambox was not available on the Backcountry. RAM said it is an unavailable option on all 2022 Bighorn trims. My truck was built June 28th, shipped June 30th, scheduled delivery has changed 3 times so far with the newest delivery date of August 4th. I really hope it gets here soon as I'm having major trouble with my 2013 WIN module.

I picked mine up in Vegas - and my date changed a number of times but generally speaking it was in the ballpark. It was on Fathers Day weekend which was a nice plus haha. My truck was built on May 4 and I took delivery on June 18th.

It's hard to understand why one order will be delivered quickly, and another will be delayed. I ordered a loaded 2wd Laramie on 06/13/22, it was build on 07/01, and arrived at my dealer in N.C. on 07/15. The only thing I can thing of is I somehow got lucky, the stars aligned, and the deliver went smoothly. Good luck brother, I hope your new baby is delivered soon.

Hey Wanted - for you it was because you ordered a 1500 - the 2500s are built out of Mexico so you have the shipping/customs processing which adds time. I know the trucks coming out of the Midwest plants (i forget exactly where) are flying out of the plant now.

I ordered a 1500 yesterday in Fort Worth. Got my VON today, so we will see how things progress. Hopefully it goes as fast as Wanted33 did, but I'm not holding my breath. 2022 1500 Lonestar, 2WD, 5.7 bed, Patriot blue, hemi e-torque, 3.21 gears, Anti-Spin Differential, level 2 equipment group, bucket seats, 9 Amplified Speakers, Premium Lighting, air suspension and running boards.

I read on the FCA website that orders ended already. how are folks still ordering '22 models and why would anyone order now with the '23 models coming out soon. I bought the '19 I have now off the lot the last weekend of august 2018. have they delayed 2023 orders and production ? curious

My ordered and built but not delivered 3500 Big Horn is labeled a Lone Star when I put in my VIN# to see its towing capabilities.

I do not live in TX, I did not order from TX, and I used a GA address.

Is this an error? Does this mean I'm getting a Lone Star edition?

Towing specs from actual listing are the same but I lost 300 lbs of payload. Is this because of my options?

When I ordered my 1500 my original vehicle order form was correct. But, when it arrived the window sticker from Stellantis showed they charged me twice for the bucket seats/console. It was actually part of the "Sport Package" option price. My dealer didn't understand it, and didn't charge me. I would say check with your dealer, maybe they can find out what's going on.

If I had ordered this same ram 2 months prior, it would have been $2500 less, same dealer, got same deal as they quoted 2 months before. I didn't pull the trigger then and it cost me. With the way the economy is and supply chain, I can't imagine the 23's will be any cheaper. Life's a gamble. Manager told me they would take 23orders in September.

IF, they stopped taking 2022 Ram orders
That means that they ARE taking 2023 orders & didn't tell anyone

Any 2022 order that does not make the cut off production date, will be a 2023 when it is delivered

This site are the dates for Fleet Orders, Avis, Hertz, Texas State orders, etc.

Private Party orders don't usually follow the Fleet Plan

You may certainly be right GTyankee. I ordered on 07/28, got VON next day, looked order status today, have a VIN. From info on this site, I can't pull up the window sticker until it's built. Looked it up on https://www.vindecoderz.com/, it shows it's a 2022, but didn't show actual window sticker.

Did you order a package that changed trim levels? Often times you don’t realize it but you ordered something only available in the Lone Star trim would be my assumption.

The VIN # actually has the year of the vehicle in it

the 10th digit represents the year, 2022 may be an N
the letter O may not be used, because it looks too much like an 0

I did look that up and, it seems I may have, but I'm not sure. On my window sticker it doesn't say my name yet, however, it does say Big Horn. On Dodge's vehicle tracker it says Big Horn, as well. Only on Dodge's towing from vin# does it say "Lone Star."

Basically, I got every option, even the chrome (I felt on the HDs it looked best, don't flame me), and I "think" from what I've read, Lone Star is option C (or highest option package), another package, and the chrome appearance package on Big Horn & Laramie.

Did I lose the weight from payload, because the bed liner, larger fuel tank, dual alternators, 18' wheels, and option packages? It seems all that may add up to 300 lbs. This is my first "real" truck that I'm going to use for payload/towing, and I just want to be sure and understand.

I looked it up again. 10th digit is a N. Vin decoder shows it 2022. Nothing is set in stone until you see the stone.

All I can say hope you have a good couch to relax on because the trucks out of Mexico are on delay still I am 10 months on my loaded 3500 long bed ordered 10/21 built 3/15/22.....

If so - that's depressing!
My 3500 long bed went into production September 1st ... and I was thinking that was good news. Maybe not that great after all?

A Heavy Duty Ram ordered September 1, may show up in January some time, ( think 4 months )
