I’m installing a new set of Johnson 2356 Drop in lifters in my 5.7. The lifter can be installed with the bearing oiling hole to the front or the rear of the engine in the lifter bore. Does it matter?

It should not make a difference since lifters will have pressurized oil on both sides........I would install to the rear because of oil flow direction but that's just my preference........maybe @Fast69Mopar will confirm

Thanks, I contacted Johnson Lifters this morning, Joe told me it doesn't matter. Common sense says it shouldn't... but before I button her up I just wanted confirmation.
Cheers!
