I’ll take some more pictures when I go to storage todayCheck to make sure the axles haven't shifted angular or side to side. Wheels should be square to the trailer frame.
Yes, torsion. Not sure what the fix is. I bought the boat not too long ago, and tires look fine, but they are newer. That is not normal and absolutely jacked. Guessing torsion axle? That front one looks to have a severely bent spindle or the pic angle is throwing this all out of whack. Experiencing weird tire wear?
It will be easier to check out without the pontoon boat on the trailer. If your unsure of what to check, find a good trailer repair shop. It doesn't necessarily have to be a boat repair shop either, a decent shop will work on any trailer.I’ll take some more pictures when I go to storage today
This picture is it.Huh, weird. Please post the results you get from, “driving away” to fix it. Thanks!
Wow, lol. Drive and be OK, I would drive to another "repair shop", but U do as U wish and feel comfortable with. But if U driving down the road and get passed by the boat, there may be an issue. Just saying, hope all is well.Received this from a trailer repair shop. Disaster averted
“It looks to be fine. When you turned left it pulled the tire under. Totally normal. When you drive away it should straighten out”
Ok thanks. So I’m also curious, is your trailer totally level when towing or nose low? The reason I ask is if it is nose low it will put to much weight on the front tires causing them to roll under during a sharp turn. This picture is it.

I haven’t noticed it low, but it probably is. Maybe I need to get a leveling hitchOk thanks. So I’m also curious, is your trailer totally level when towing or nose low? OK, well be safe out there. Your choice, neva take ne thing on internet as gospel, LOL, but I wish U well.I appreciate it, but I’m gonna trust the trailer shop that examined it and said it’s fine. There is no damage or anything to be found.
YEAH, when I pull my good ole 2006 WW Stock with dual axles, and have to go over Bridges and stuff, get the whammy, so I always try to take alternate routes when I can. Good thing is, I basically have no need to tow ne where away from home ne more. But I personally would neva pull a bumper pull with no brakes, that smash and stop stuff not work for me. Put up with that in Military, was neva fun. Just my personal experience.Just watch for uneven tire wear, if one axle is out of whack (bent, whatever) it will eat tires fairly quickly - especially at highway speeds going a fair distance.
Torsion axle tandem setups do get weird angles at times.
I have a love/hate thing with tandem axles. lol Like them for the extra tire on each side, hate them for tolls, more tires, turning, etc.
Same with torsion axles.
Up here any trailer over 3000 GVWR has to have brakes on it, personally even below 3000 lbs I want brakes.YEAH, when I pull my good ole 2006 WW Stock with dual axles, and have to go over Bridges and stuff, get the whammy, so I always try to take alternate routes when I can. My father has a triple axle with surge. Problem is all this salt in the ocean. Lol. Eats the steel. Basically needs a full brake rebuild every 3 years or they seize or just plain fail. Honestly the surge brakes on a 7000lb boat suck. 26’ sailfish with twin Yamaha 200s and I think it’s got around 300 gallon fuel capacity and 16 gallons fresh water.Up here any trailer over 3000 GVWR has to have brakes on it, personally even below 3000 lbs I want brakes.
I went to a 6000 lb torsion single axle aluminum trailer for my boat, with nice big Kodiak disk brakes and last year added electric over hydraulic to the brakes - much nice than surge.
