Trying to decide which tire to purchase. Size 35 12.5 20 rating R 12 ply. First two are cheaper but have solid reviews, currently have Nitto’s, lasted 2.5 years. About a $600 additional cost for the Nitto’s. The first two are made in Taiwan. Any help would be appreciated.

I dunno about venom, but I've seen a few sets of Kenda that were just not good tires.

Running ridge grapplers now second set on an HD. Good tire for me on both trucks I have had them on but when these wear out I'm going back to a cooper at3. Had them on the last half ton and they did the best in wet weather out of any tire I have ever had personally.

I know a few guys running venom power terra hunters. They all like them a lot. Our local 4x4 truck shop sells lots of them with wheel packages.

I been considering going that route when my factorys wear down.

For four tires, they are about $600 cheaper than Ridge. Get my attention

I have run Toyo's on wife's F 150, they were decent. I run Falken At3W's on MY 19 RAM. But everybody has a preference. Out of the 3 in question, would run Nitto's, but really depends upon how U R gonna use yer ride and where you live and the weather. But I am also not lifted, just stock, but wanted better shoes on the road than Balloon SRA's.

I am running the Nitto's and really like the hybrids. I'm not aware of the other two. Mine have been on for just over a year and don't make noise and have little wear on them. I'll be buying the same tires again (maybe a larger size) when these need replacing. Good luck with your decision.

Be warned, the Venom tires are loud af! Roar like a mud terrain.
Not only loud which I don't mind, but they are hard to balance and people who I know that have had them have had out of round and separation issues with them...stay away from both venom and kendas ... stay with the Nittos ..

My experience with the Venom tires has been very good. I do not know anyone else running them so this is only my experience. Venom Power Terra Hunters 275/65/20 on stock rims. I purchased them because of their price point, E load rating and online reviews. As another poster stated they are not the most quiet tire I’ve ever used. At 20k miles on them now they don’t roar but they have gotten a little louder than when new. Noise is subjective and the sound does not bother me. In fact can’t hear them with the radio on and windows up. Windows down, sure you can hear them as they have an aggressive tread. For what it’s worth I purchased mine from Walmart and even Wally World had no problems balancing them although one of the four tires does have a few more weights than I’d like to see on a tire. Twenty thousand miles in I’ve had zero issues. They cruise 70 mph with no vibration or pulling. I’ve found them to be compliant on wet roads and good in standing water. I live in the southeast so no real snow to speak of and the few minor snowstorms we’ve had they had excellent traction. I hike quite a bit and access trails on some pretty crummy logging and fire roads where they have handled the terrain very well. I run them at 40-42 psi and wear has been even with 5-7k rotations. They are heavy! E loads are a little more firm and while not harsh the ride on highways is a bit more fatiguing on long trips. I’d recommend them from my experience.

I apologize; I should have been clearer. I was responding to the question between the two brands and have the Ridge Grappler.

But yeah, the Ridge grappler is a "hybrid terrain" tire - it's a mud-terrain and all-terrain hybrid design. I have read that tread-wear is lower and they are supposed to last longer than MT options but look just as good.

--From the Nitto Website--

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

Featuring a revolutionary dynamic hybrid tread pattern, the Ridge Grappler® provides a quiet and comfortable ride, while deep aggressive sidewall lugs and tread pattern provide capable off-road performance.

May I recommend Radar Renegade RT's if you're looking for an aggressive hybrid tire. They run wide, balance ok (I have a fair bit of weight on my wheels, but still under the 1% rule). And for as aggressive as they are they're pretty quiet.

Also be considerate of tire weight. I've seen 10-15lb differences for the same size tire (Ko2 vs Wildpeak for ex.).

Friends with Venom's have had issues with out of round / balancing.
No experience with Kenda.

Never had a problem with Nitto other than price.
