2014 Ram 5.7 with ETC service light on and a p2122 code. I’ve looked everywhere for a broken wire and I’m stumped. Took pedal off 2015 truck and still nothing. Bought new battery and had alternator checked. Starts but throttle body plate doesn’t move it just flickers and truck stumbles until it dies. Any suggestions? Can’t get a mechanic to even look at it around here.

Well i had the pedal and when I took the battery in they said it wasn’t bad but it wouldn’t be long. I’ve been looking thru threads and most say to start at battery and check alternator. So I was just kinda running down the list. But ya your not wrong.

Plus I had a pedal commander on and had taken it off cause it was throwing codes. It ran fine for a couple months then I stomped it at a red light and when it hit second gear everything bogged out an that was it. Hasn’t run since.

Did you check the throttle position sensor? I believe it's right on the TB itself. That code is usually something to do with that sensor. If it's bad it won't do $hit. That would be the next thing I check if I had those problems. Good luck.

Best regards,

-Mike

I checked the one on the gas pedal itself and I had the 5v signal. Didn’t think there was one on the tb itself. I’ve tried 2 tb’s. Had a ported one on it so I took it off and put the original back on. No change tho.

No unfortunately I dropped a valve and it turned into a full rebuild. Still not sure why that code was thrown but I’m almost done with rebuild now. Getting my revised tune from Jay today and we shall see.
