Ram 2500 Power Running Boards

Just purchased a new 2022 2500 Laramie Night Edition.

It did not come with the power running boards. Despite seeing several new from the factory come with the power deployable running boards, and the ability to add them when building on Ram's website, I am being told by the dealer that they don't make these for the 2500.

On Mopar's website, if you dig deep, I have found part numbers 68461637AA or 68461647AA. https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-power-running-board-step-left-68461637aa

Your dealer is full of bull crap. I have them from the factory on my 2021 Laramie 2500. They are a GREAT option for we of short stature.

My suggestion, get a different dealer, this guy is not on your side. With your VIN he should have zero issues pulling up the OEM power boards for that unit.

Nailed it Dean. OP maybe take those part numbers into the parts department yourself, and they should be able to order them. If not they are just ignorant. If they are ignorant just stop by another dealers parts dept.

I think this is new for 2022. I have a 2021 and all my research a year ago came up empty for mopar power boards for 2500s. So the dealer is just behind in knowing the new feature for 2500s. This is good news for many, including me.

Like I said 4 posts up, this is NOT new for 2022. I have a 2021 2500 with Factory installed power boards, and they were available on the 2020 also. How much further back they go, I don't know. Laramie trim was the lowest trim level the factory installed power boards were an option on but they can be retro fitted to any of the other models.

My next question is if and when I get them. Will the dealer have to pull my dash out to install the wiring? Thanks!

The Amp power boards deploy when you open the doors and stow when you close. they have safety stop and stow sensors and can be stopped in the extended position for cleaning or to stop things from hitting the body. I have them and love them.
