Hi every one I have a 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 with an 8 speed. About 6 months ago I replaced the fuel sending unit because the original fuel level sensor went out on me. Shortly after I got a new code pop up P0463 if I remember right, so I replaced the fuel pressure sensor. About 3 months go by and no problem. Code is P1DBD fuel pressure sponsor rationality. Stays on most the time but will clear itself occasionally. Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking or have encountered this? The sending unit was an aftermarket one, don’t remember the brand but the sensor was an OEM part.
Thanks in advance

Aftermarket sensors do not play well with most vehicles , in my experience . I have had the best luck using what it originally came with .

After I discussed my issue with a friend of mine who ownsxand operates his own shop, he suggested to add a additive that has jet furl in it. I ran 2 tank fulls with the additive and it went away. No more check engine light. Currently on my first tank with out the additive and do far do good. If things change, I will repost

Apparently the sensor I originally purchased wasn’t oem. I called the parts department at local dealer and he said they no longer make the original part. The new sensor comes in two separate pieces. One is the fuel sensor (part number 68550956AA) and the other is the wiring plug (part number 68137864AC). You have to make wiring changes from the original configuration for this new plug. On the back of factory wiring plug from left to right you had; yellow/pink(5volt), brown/white(ground), brown/yellow(signal). On the new wiring plug from left to right you need to go in this order; brown/white, brown/yellow, yellow/pink. I thought this fixed my code p1dbd but it just came back in.
