Is it just me, or have others been noticing a lot more trucks Squatting? Just not Rams, but all makes.

I get it the Cali Squat has been around for a while, and the result of leveling the front and simply having any load in the bed….. but what I’m seeing lately are literally 5+ inch lifts in the front, and 2” drops in the rear. WTF ???

Is this really a trend???

Not my thing, but hey….. neither is a 20” lift. :waytogo:

I honestly think this one is just really hard acceleration! hahaha

Haven't noticed it here, but hey it's part of the "Look at me crowd"

I tried researching this and best I could find it was baha trucks it helped them on landing when they made jumps. Now why any road queen trucks would do it. Your guess is as good as mine. I grew up in an Era that you jacked up the back of cars much less trucks. In fact it was a sign of a week truck if the rear end sank when loading it down. Something we tried to avoid. if I had to guess why they, young people, are just doing the opposite of what there parents did.

I'm all about mods and whatever but that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. I actually never seen it here in CT, just pictures. We do have some older cars running on 30" wheels called donks though lol Screenshot_20220815-090600_DuckDuckGo.jpg

When I first saw one I thought the shocks/ springs blew out in the rear…. But then I saw another, and another.

The world has certainly turned around. When I got my first car, it was all about raising the rear with air shocks for that aggressive muscle car look.

I fly planes, and the closest this look to is what we call a ‘Tail dragger.

Let it them be called here first as ‘Tail Draggers’. LMAO

The cali-squat and the carolina-squat are two very different things. Most of the cali-squat guys are running long-travel suspension setups which tend to squat a bit in the back. SOMETIMES!

The carolina-squat guys are idiots that are only installing half of their lift kits or intentionally jacking the front up sky high LOL. Completely ridiculous, insane and dangerous. It has become such a problem back east that legislation has been passed to punish these idiots if they are caught driving trucks and SUVs modified like this.

I do see a lot of long-travel trucks here in AZ that have a bit of a rearward rake to them. Lots of Rangers, Tacomas, Titans, Silverados etc... But the things are pretty much custom built pre-runners. Never seen a squatted truck here before.

I've seen a couple of trucks around locally like that. At first I though they had one heck of a load in the rear but then realized that no, they did that on purpose.
