Were in the middle of a 7,000 mile trip and my auto headlights starting getting weird on me. Sometimes, usually early early in the morning with the headlight switch set to auto the truck will all of a sudden go dark: headlights off, dash dark, center stack dark. If I turn the headlight switch to on everything comes back on. Later, i'll try switching back to auto and all good. Any ideas?
Thanks

Is it completely black or just really dark? Could it be the setting on the interior lights level dial? I know when I am driving at night I keep it turned down so it's not so bright in my eyes but if I get up in the morning and it's not super bright out it appears dark until I turn it all the way back up.

Pop the switch out. I recall reading something about the contacts being bent or getting dirty. I would start there.

This. I would start here. My truck has 2 dials one for dash and one for interior lighting.

I'm thinking the same thing Josh. In the early morning with the auto lights on the shawdows will cause them to turn on. When that happens the infotainment screen will darken, because it thinks it's datk outside. With Bill's situation only happening in the morning that leads me to think it's operating normally, and an adjustment should fix the problem.

Check your sensor and make sure not blocked, also. I have a Dash Cover on my dash, so ne time say I drive where a lot of trees, it will sense lack of light out and turn on headlights and of course darken U Connect screen unless "you" have it turned all the way up.
