As far as doing a engine autopsy I need to return it and the skid the new engine comes on to get my 1000 Core charge back
I looked over that Fraiser company ended up going with jasper no real reason other that I was more familiar with the name. I called a bunch of places and did research, def alot of options to consider.
Just hoping I dont have to use the warranty on the new one. Thanks for all the input
I will keep you posted once the engine arrives. I have other issues to attack as well
Radio is doing goofy stuff a bunch of speakers dont work has the alpine system that sounded good at one point but now it needs some care but I just want to get it running on all the cylinders.

You will find the Jasper Remanufactured is a good way to go, they addressed allot of issues with the roller lifters, redesigned pistons for the piston scuffing problem, stronger rods and wrist pins, stronger valve springs and push rods that's all that I can think of for now, I don't think it comes with a new Intake Plenum I would replace it.

Thanks for the intel
My engine is due to land at the dealer next friday. Cant wait to get this thing on the road. I have had it since June.
Jasper reccomends changing the oil cooler to keep the warranty. Is that the 70 to 80 dollar part I am seeing at rock auto?
Any way I will keep you all posted as I am sure I will need further help in the near future.

Thanks agian

Well that's good news. Faster than you thought. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Mine is a 2013
The Jasper paperwork mentioned that replacing the cooler was suggested I dont know if that was just some general info covering applicable model years but I wanted to have what I needed ready to go when the motor is delivered.

You don't have the oil cooler then,so you're good to go.

This is what it looks like, and appears like it wasn't implemented till 2017,i thought the MY 2016's got it,but it looks like i was wrong.

It was reccomemded to replace the intake and oil cooler because the old ones were contamination issues. I believe my 2013 dosent have a oil cooler.
What are my options for the intake.
Stock seems like easiest option
Any input is appreciated.
