Do they have one with a single filter. Not sure if if I need dual filters.
Does that dual filter one effect oil pressure?
Yes they do.I started with a single then upgraded to the duals,i won't go back to the single,as my pressures are actually higher with the dual kit, then they were with the single kit.

If you decide on a remote mount, spend a few minutes with a die grinder porting and rounding off the sharp edges in both the engine adapter and filter mount.Oil flow and sharp edges don't go together very well.

Well I guess one nice bonus of your setup is you can run any sized RP filter you want!

I use the kit, that uses the older 3/4-16 filters, which gives you more options for bigger filters. The 30-8A RP filters are noticably bigger then their 20-820 Hemi filter is. The dual filters made a noticable differance in my hot idling pressures,my trucks oil pressure hot and idling sits at 51/52 psi with the oil temp at 190/192F,and it takes a hell'va high speed run to get the oil temps above 198F,even on back to back nitrous passes at the track,my oil temps won't go over 200F

Transdapt 1127 is the single filter which is what I run.
I'm not sure I'd put them there. You (or a guest driver) just need to jump the wrong curb or push up against something sticking up from the ground and you have a few seconds before your hemi bleeds out and stops working.
if he hits that filter he has way more problems. Especially with the suspension setup he runs on his truck. Lol.

Well I'd have to check under my own truck again but from those pics it looks like the bottom of the filters are hanging below the bottom of the bumper. You can see the black wind deflector sitting right there which is always the first to get ripped off when doing anything slightly related to "offroading". Definitely less protected there then it is stock unless I'm just misremembering what it looks like under these trucks.

Look closer, the tow hook mount is lower then the filters, the tow hooks bolt to the bottom of the tow hook mount, then imagine where the tow hook emerges from the bumper. In case you haven't noticed, the tow hook mount is the square beam ,behind the filters, and it sits lower then the filters by an inch,it's deceptive in the pic,but the filters are above the bottom of that beam. If you tag the filters, you've already severly mangled the front bumper. The front frame crossmember is also close to a foot lower then the filters, you can see the lower camber adjusters are several inches lower then the filters.I don't think you're realizing where the filters are,and how high up in the chassis they sit. Sure if you're going to air time the truck, you might be able to smash them off,but if you get that much air time,to bottom the truck out hard enough to get to the filters, odds are you have more issues then the filters. If it worries you that much, you could fab a skid plate out of 3/8" plate to bolt across the tow hook mounts, that should settle your worries down.I'll post the pic again for you to look real close at,so you don't have to keep going back, lol

That is a nice setup.. Guess I will look into it because I hate the stock location. Makes a ******** mess everytime.

I remember from old old post that model leaks unless you upgrade the lines and fittings.

It was one guy who had a leak, and it was from a poor casting, but upgrading to -10 (5/8") lines and fittings sure doesn't hurt. Transdapt has been building these kits for as long as i can remember. I had the same basic dual filter kit on my old 68 Camaro way back in the early 80's,and they'd been around for awhile before that, lol

wouldn't two filters mean double the flow restriction? i guess that's why you see increased pressure, so more good than bad? or am i thinking about that backwards and having 2x filter media (not to mention better filters) would filter twice the volume in the same time. hmm. what does cause the pressure increase? is that possibly inlet/outlet hose size?

not dissing the setup at all, i've been considering it myself (due to all the pros like easier access and increased cooling capacity), but on the fence due to over thinking this (clearly it works fine for folks who have installed them) as well as questioning filter vulnerability to offroad damage. fabbing another skid plate is a nice solve (rebel already has a lot of them, one more wouldn't look out of place).

Dual filters is less restriction as each filter is actually only getting half the oil flow of the single filter.

Khris answered the question already, but pretty well every engine measures oil pressure "after" the filters, not before,so a pressure increase usually means the filter/filters have less flow restriction.

Your setup looks different to me though. All my comments about filter being kinda low were directed at this post:

The 1127 and dual that wild one runs both need upgraded AN lines. The rubber hoses and worm clamp fittings are garbage. Wild one and I both run upgraded lines.

Yes good idea.
I think I would want to that anyways. Those push the lock fittings don't look very good.

I wanted to do this on the Orange Ram but never got around too it. I plan on keeping the Blue one a while so definitely need to do it.

Thanks for your help as always.
