From what I understand, Curt makes the 5th wheel hitches for Mopar. Does anyone know what model letter designation they are close to in the Curt line? A? Q? I have seen a few 30k Mopar hitches for sale on the local CL and Marketplace. I'm in the market for a good hitch but would like to save some $ if I can find a lightly used one. The one I have my eye on was removed from a brand new truck because the owner only pulls Gooseneck trailers.

Pretty sure its the Q series. Buddy of mine bought 3500, and his factory installed hitch ( Mopar ) and it looked just like my Q20. The only thing about this CURT is it seems to be touchy on the angle of the pin box on approach, mine doesnt like to "lock" every time. And it is heavy! Definitely a two man lift. I usually use a chain and my tractor to lift this pig out when needed.

PB casterlin. I have one of those 30k ram hitches. It was used twice to pull a 5th wheel camper. I can send pics if you are still looking.

As said I'm pretty sure it's a Q series, and is quite a bit cheaper direct from Curt.

Though I will say if you want a hitch that is under-rated, look at B&W. Pricier, but ridiculously well built. After reading about their testing, I'd trust a B&W over just about anything else. The requirement for hitches states you can use a new batch of hitches for every level of testing - B&W uses the SAME batch for all testing, and if any of them fail they diagnose, make any changes, and put a new batch through the tests.

Yeah I love mine! Well... until I have to take it out. It does weigh a lot, but as mentioned they are built like a tank. If you can find a good used one of those, don't hesitate to purchase it.

Too true - ridiculously heavy. Helps somewhat to take the head off.
