Replace the bearings. There shouldn't be any play that you can feel or especially see with the naked eye.

Even with new bearings in place there is a little play. I have never seen bearings like this before, they are very loose and not solid and firm as I am used to. Looks like a different design, but when in place they do their job, but as I said, a little play up and down seems to be inevitable.

Because it's a tapered roller bearing, and they do have a little play in them from the rollers and the race.

I have this Identical problem do you replace the rear hubs as well?

I didn’t see your year. I have a 2016 with a floating axle shaft hub is separate but it does the same wobble without the rotor on. just did the bearings. If it persists I’m doing axle shafts next but that hub looks like the culprit
